On The Fence Not Sure What Route To Go
holas everyone...
obviously i am new here. been loving the 370 since first read in R&T. then when it came out, wow, very sexy, and a very nice step up from the 350. right now i am in a mazdaspeed 3. wanting out, well maybe (i want it to be a big step up to make the change), and not sure what route to go. i am looking at a couple of cars. one is the 370z. i just want to see if everyone is completely happy with their purchase on the 370. any complaints? something nissan might fix down the road type of issues? anything you question. some peeps might want to know if i am going to mod. yes i will be but basic bolt ons, cosmetically and performance wise. here's an early thank you for those that post comments and for you that might want to see the MS3 here yah go...couple pics |

My only complaint with the 370z is that the seat warmers don't cook my arse and boll*cks like my Wife's 2002 Golf GTI does. The 370 seat heat is barely noticeable and makes me grumpy.

Go test drive the cars you're thinking about. I'm pretty sure you'll post pictures of the 370Z in a future post.

You plan to do basic bolt ons with you new car, and the Z is a good canidate for that. It can make some good power with basic bolt ons.....however since you have a MS3...then you might love the BMWs 135i..its turbo, has the back seat and makes great power with basic bolt ons and a tune. Me personally i picked the Z, but hey who knows whats best for you but YOU! lol....go have fun and test drive everything!

But you live in LA, do you really need them anyway? My butt gets plenty warm. No complaints here at all. I love the car, and would make the same decision again in a heartbeat. No real major issues at all, knock on wood, and there are alot of people around who have more miles on their Zs than I do, and I don't think they are having any major difficulties. I was looking at Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs along with the Z and I am truly glad I went with what I did.

oh i have. i like for that short drive. it's just you know how you start to notice things when owning a car. i am sort of weird with my toys. so one lil quirk to one person could be astronomical to me.

yeah i love the 3.0 TT BUT i don't like the roof line on the 1. it has this bubbly feel to me. if i go bmw its the 335 BUT the wife is going to be real tight with me on modding due to the overall car price and it not being my DD. i don't know if i could live without tinkering.

First thing first...nice MS3 man. Wheels look particularly good.
Second, I'd definitely go a 335 if I went ANYTHING BMW, including over the M3. But, thats just me. The 1-series just looks wrong, to me. And finally, if you cant live without tinkering and you want something a bit cheaper...well, this car sure doesn't hurt. Do you plan on tracking whatever you purchase at all?

yeah the 335 is sex. idk though i really like how the V8 runs in the m3 and i really like the dry cf add on interior you can go with...its a toss for me on those two...but yeah the 1 is not on my list. i have a lot thoughts flying around my head on this...i am not sure if i want to go NA or go forced again...ms3 is my first FI car. i like the feeling a lot. but the ms3 has its issues, like not a lot of support from the aftermarket world. thats probably my biggest complaint. and i know nissan doesnt have that issue. will i track it? maybe a couple of times but thats not really on my mind. i want an overall good car with options to mod that i can enjoy on my free time... anyone in SF/Peninsula area that knows of a friendly mod dealer? thats another concern of mine. |

When 91 Octane hits $4/gal this summer, you'll be glad you bought the Z ?

uhh, pretty sure you supposed to use 91+ in the Z. (at least thats what I keep filling mine with). Its a requirement for high compressions engines.
