Hello, tis my first post, tis a lovely community yall got here.

Hope everyones doing well :D

I payed off my 2016 370z Sport/Touring this month :/
I washed my baby Tuesday and as I was driving to work on Wednesday, it started to sprinkle and I thought "Huh... that's typical." Then it started to light rain after a week of 90°F.

:crying:
I hydroplaned a lil, slowed down, got over, and hydroplaned again and didn't get any grip back. I went off into 21 metal posts that were attached by cable in a median. Wrecker shows up and says I should take it to a shop that's an hour away, sure w/e, says those posts were $5,000 a pop to replace. ?_?

I've been told that if it hasn't rained and been hot out for a while, that oil rises on the highways and makes hydroplaning a lot more vicious. I've drove through torrential downpour in my z and hardly hydroplaned, held up like a champ, but just that slight rain took me out. I didn't think my tires were all that bad, but now I'm not so sure.

Anyways, I'm looking to get another precious Z, debating on the Nismo Tech or another Sport/Touring. I want comfort but I love the style of the Nismo's bumpers. I've browsed the forums quite a bit, looking at DIY's and all the cool stuff everyone does, makes me motivated to do stuff of my own. Oh how those plans can change.

Cheers, would love to officially become one of the Z family :)

*NSFW attachies :(

If that was I-35 last week, it was slick!

I decided to drive my truck to work and the rain came! There were several panic stops and my anti lock was full on - and I was sliding right towards a stopped car. Fortunatly it did stop in time.

Now this is a 2500 HD truck with new tires. Wow it was all over the place!

Sorry to hear, but now you can get one nicer!

Glad you are ok. Plenty of Nismo available used on cars.com on here. Good luck and let us know what you end up buying.

I came out without a scratch, luckily, indeed.
The car.. not so much :(

It was on I-35! In between the two exits of Purcell.
I thought my tires were decent, hardly peel out and just 15k miles that I put on them.

Me too! Coulda been so much worse without the barriers.
I saw a couple in Texas, decently priced for the mileage and condition.
Not sure if I'd like a Nismo compared to the Sport/Touring, comfort wise.
Those racing seats probably don't play well with an achy back.

Sorry to hear about the car. How do your tires look? Hopefully not low on those treads!

As long as you and those that were involved (if any) are ok, that’s all that matters! Hope to have you in another Zed!

That really sucks Inotia. You walked away without injury :) so it could have been a lot worse.

Not sure what the insurance restrictions are in OK, but could you part out the car? Wheels, seats, etc. ?
Might help give you a few extra bucks????

Good luck in finding a new Z. Take your time to find the exact one you want.

Cheers
