Good afternoon! My 2017 370 Tech has an issue that is perplexing. On a good paved road I hear an annoying buzz from the rear right hatch area. Once I go over a very modest bump the carpenter bee is unleashed..An odd sporadic event ..my dealer, of course, has never heard of such a thing! Has anyone else experienced this phenomena?

I am not a mechanic but my 300zx did that & it was the fuel pump trying to go out and getting weaker. Just a guess.. Someone else can give you a better answer. You need to post a sound clip & of course a pic of your new 370Z(CONGRATS):driving:

Could be a number of things; I would first remove everything from inside rear compartment & ensure nothing has got underneath spare tire/subwoofer or either pieces of the foam.
Ensure tire & tools are down tight.
License plate could make noise, could be Exhaust making noise, evap cannister cover....but if your dealership is D**K S***H, that could be your problem.
I’m in the Columbia area as well & would be glad to help take a look at it.
Just shoot me a pm & we can coordinate a meeting place.

Welcome to the 370Z forums. Post some pics if you can. I never heard any odd noises or buzz noises from my Z. You could try taking your Z into your local Nissan dealership service department or mechanic and ask them to diagnose your Z.

You all are hilarious... the guy said the buzzing noise was a bee!! There was some serious ADD when reading this haha.

Congratulations and welcome. :tiphat:

Welcome and befriend the bees, never know when you need them on your side. Also check license plate first, easiest solution to start with. This was my issue.
