research for a new car

Hi all:
The wife's car will be paid off in the next few months so I am planning a new car for myself. Like the Dodge Hemi Challenger, but it is a huge car with skinny tires. Like the 996/997 Porsche, I have owned 2 of the air cooled ones before the 'collectors' found them and recently a 944. But cost of maintains on the 996/7 is high and if the motor has a problem a quality rebuild can costs as much as a new 370Z. I also briefly looked at the Giulia but it needs a few years to sort things out along with few dealers outside of major population centers. I like the VW Gulf R but the new ones coming into the U.S. for the last few months and are stuck in Port so I am guessing there is a regulation problem?

Had never considered a Nissan before (did buy a Datsun 280 for the wife back in the day). My 76 year old sister (I am 63) decided she wanted a convertible. After test driving several kinds of cars she bought a 42,000 mile 350Z. Fun to drive and great performance. I am guessing she will get into trouble.

So now I am looking at the 370Z. Fun to drive, small, and decent horse power. Biggest problem is the seats - on the 350 are narrow and conflict with my Southern size Medium size. Those bolsters dig into my thighs and make longer trips a pain. I guess the 370 has the same seats. Would need to overhaul the seats and later I would have to get to know Stillen a bit better.

Ok, to much information; I should have just said Hi, thinking about buying a 370Z:rolleyes:

Welcome to best forum on the interwebs and good luck in your Z hunting.

I too am 63 but of Northern Size Medium! I've owned my 40th now since 2011 and find that the seats are pretty comfortable, even on longer drives. All I can say is get your behind in a 370 and see how she fits :).
