2009 370Z Touring in St. Pete Florida
 

Just got my first Z since my 86. Had 81, 82 Turbo, 84 Anniversary and 86. Love car but has 5th gear grind that I didn't find until yesterday. Called dealer and they said they hadn't checked either. Honest mistake I guess. It's Real Red and doesn't have the paint problem. Gray leather etc. Love it.

Welcome to the family, neighbor (I'm also in St Pete)! Is the dealer going to help you out with the 5th gear problem?

Haven't heard back yet. Decided against another Red Z but had terrible paint problem with only 40k miles. Wasn't Touring though. Hope dealer does the right thing or am taking it back. Thanks.

Does it grind when shifting into 5th from 4th and 6th? I have a slight grind too but only when downshifting from 6th, almost like there's a little notch it's catching.
