First day member, first day owner

As of today, I'm a proud owner of a brand new blue 370z, complete with the Touring/Sport package, gray leather interior, and a Nav system (which I saw as added weight, but they threw it in for free). This car has been on my radar now for about a year, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

I plan on putting Stillen intake/exhaust from front to back on it (thanks to the wealth of information obtained on this forum), and am actually ordering the catback exhaust right now. Thanks so much to everyone who puts info on this site... it saves all of us time and grief in personal trial and error tests and helps us makes informed decisions on what to do/not to do involving this beast of a car.

Cheers :tiphat:

Welcome, and wow at the free navigation.
Yep, the early information is great so far and hopefully people will continue with more.

To add...

Just wanted to add that my previous car was an RX-8, which will be going to my wife, cause she just looks too good in it. The 370 is just leagues better, but don't tell her I said that.

Cheers :tiphat:

Well, one huge bonus you will notice right out of the box will be gas mileage. The only downside would be, no back seat but still good

Cheers from a fellow new owner! More pics please! And pics of the RX-8 with the wife in it!

More pics on the way for sure! And yes, not having a back seat is a drawback, more because of the extra storage rather than anything else, but thats really it. The RX is a hell of a car to drive, and is really well balanced, great in the corners, and fun to really take to the limit. I actually forgot once or twice that all cars don't redline at 9k rpm and quickly had to stop myself. If I could only turn that 6 upside down...

I have had the privilege to drive a great deal of expensive, high end cars in my relatively short driving career, thanks in no small part to having a father who is a high end, namely Ferrari, car collector. This 370 drives like a car twice, if not 3 times its price. I'm breaking it in according to the manual, so I really haven't been able to push the engine, but the driving feel and cornering are absolutely superb. Transitioning between corners at speed shows little to no body roll, and the amount of understeer is spot on. I was expecting a good car, but what I have experienced so far is just amazing. My dad's daily driver is a Porsche Cayman S, and I have to say that the 370 is a better made car, both inside and out. The quality of the interior (I have the grey leather) is far superior to his stiff, uncomfortable leather. Driver position, comfort, getting in and out, the amenities, visibility (despite that huge driver's side blind spot) and suspension stiffness which doesn't translate to your teeth are all vastly superior qualities of the Z. Put them on a track, and the Cayman S may have a slight leg up, but on the road I honestly wouldn't trade my Z for two of his cars even if he asked. It is just that much better.

Thank you again for the warm welcome to the forums. I'm learning so much from everyone and am truly turning into a Z fanatic. The only thing better than having a great car is finding good people who share your enthusiasm for it, and it looks like I found the place for that.

Cheers
