61 retired and crossing off bucket list cars
In the past few years i have had two c6 Corvettes (Not enamoured with GM Service) A 2012 Mazda Mx 5 SE (nice but felt too much like a cheap goKart. So here I am researching the z Cars.... Will be looking at reliability as well as modern creature comforts (Also looking at the RC350)

I really enjoyed my '09 Touring AT when I had it. Plenty of power, great handling, and nice amenities. All-in-all, they seem to be very reliable. I got rid of mine because I couldn't find anyone to work on it in my area (similar to your GM complaint).
The CSCs on the MTs are prone to failure but, going by what I've read on here, the 3rd party replacement CSCs do quite well. The steering lock (ESCL) on early YMs is flaky but can be disabled fairly easily. If this site's search function doesn't work well for you, try any of the major search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string. Eg, https://duckduckgo.com/?q=CSC+site%3Athe370z.com

67, retired, sold my 997 to get 16 Sport auto, great car, plenty fast, little hard to get in/out but U are used to that.Only me so I don't worry about roominess..I would be looking at the Touring model, leather and heated seats.

I highly recommend getting the 370z with Sport package. Very fun, plenty fast and very reliable (newer years w. AT).

Get the sport touring or whatever it is called for the newer models. Expect and plan for the CSC (mt) and differential bushing to fail. The motor and tranny will last a long time.

No MTs for me. I prefer the Automatic, Hate clutching,My first Vette was a Manual. I sold it after five months and bought an AT with paddles. Same with the G37 and Miata.... The driving experience for me is all good with an Automatic.

Ok then. Rowing is not for everyone.
If you decide to go with the Z be ready. It is a ________ magnet.
