Hey all, just introducing myself!

I've been doing a decent amount of reading around the forum and (if things go accordingly) plan on getting a 370 at some point in 2016. The deals are pretty great on these cars! I don't currently have a fun car, I'm dailying an IS250. I know, it's slow LOL. But, I've had a C5 and a 2012 GT Mustang so this would be a welcome change. Originally I wasn't interested but, a friend convinced me to check them out and after seeing the used car market, it's hard to not want one. Especially considering how good they perform and how nice the interiors and and exteriors look. Extremely contemporary design.

Anyway, I've looked around to see what problems plague these cars and so far it seems like it's not much aside from oil temps. Is that on certain years? Also, is the dark blue the rarest color for these cars? I've looked and have a hard time finding that color. Anyway, I look forward to learning more and getting one of my own in 2016. Cheers!

Welcome, Alex! :tiphat:

The earlier models did not come with an oil cooler, but you would probably want to replace the factory setup, even if you bought a newer model. Also, the older models have had problems with the steering lock, which can be costly to fix after-the-fact. There are several ways to remedy this before anything happens, the cheapest of which is to simply full the fuse.

Good luck with your search!

I'm so glad I accidentally got a 2012.

Welcome friend!

^yep! No mo steering lock after 2011 and 2012 on gets factory oil cooler, which doesn't mean much anyway. If you are getting a Man-ual, you should know there are issues with the concentric slsve cylinder and the master cylinder failing on these cars. Do a google search on it and prepare yourself for the worse. Good luck with your search! Midnight blue is beautiful and rare! Whatever color you decide to go with, make sure it's equipped with the sport package!

If everything goes accordingly, I'd like a 2013+ auto, sport touring.

Thanks again everyone for the welcome!
