New owner, Dream come true.

Hi guys I'm Jack, AKA Ommateal, AKA Oatmeal lol, AKA Omma. As you can see people tend to have a time with my screen name. So any of those are acceptable lol. But on to the good stuff.

Oh, boy... I remember being like 14 or so and the 350z hit the streets... I remember it being the most awesome looking Japanese import...EVER. Seeing about how fast they were compared to the usual ilk of civics and his other branded Japanese 4 banger brethren. And from that day on it was my favorite car and I always swore to own one someday, dreams of twin turboed, under glow, and massive body kits Ala fast and furious/need for speed filled my head for the rest of my teenage years even a bit into my twenties.

Finally after years I started to improve my lot in life enough and With my dads help on a Co-Sign I was able to get an Accord!!! .... now not just any Accord. It was a 2005 6m, fully loaded, V6 coupe. Deff not your grandmas Honda... this was it. Finally I could brag and show off to all my import friends and even show up at the weekend car hang out groups LOL. Unfortunately my father and I only got to spend a little time together with the accord before he passed away unexpectedly just a few months after we purchased it. From then I doubled down my efforts and worked even harder to make him proud... And just a short and very hard year later I was able to make my dream come true Just like I always told him. As much as It hurt I was able to trade in the Accord and purchase my dream, A red, 6m, Sport, 370z...even better then the 350! He would be proud that I worked so hard and achieved it. And all thanks to him for being awesome and helping me get the Accord in the first place.

I'm the proud owner of my dream car. Thanks for having me here guys.

Great story, Oatmeal. Sorry to hear of your father's passing. Sounds like you are making him proud. Welcome to the forum :tiphat:

The 6MT Accords have a special place in my heart as well

We bought a used 2004 6MT Accord for my wife a number of years ago. I really enjoyed that car ... on the weekends ;) It was the first true "sporty" car I had owned as I mostly drove SUVs growing up. In 2011 we traded in my daily driver on a brand new 370Z for my wife, and I upgraded to the 6MT Accord. I drove it for nearly two years before we had to trade in the Honda when she needed an AT due to a change in her commute. I couldn't complain though because she let me upgrade to the Z for my daily driver :driving:

After a crappy Acura lease experience, she is back in a Honda. We bought her a new 2015 Honda Accord Sport. While it's no 6MT, it's actually much better than any of the other Accord models. We're really pleased with it.

Enjoy your Z! :driving:

Welcome aboard.

condolences about your dad - really sorry to hear that he passed away.

V6 accords with the 6MTs are definitely fun and quick cars for sure and you got the 1st generation where that combo was offered.

Good luck with the Z!
