New to The370z
 

Just picked up my new used car. 2009 370z. I poster into the new Z owner section but it is pending approval.

I'm 26 have a 8 to 5 job and just started bartending on the weekends.

Instead of having some extra cash I made the decision to buy and own 3 cars now. Maybe not the smartest decision but I am enjoying the Z.

My name is Chris, but with so many people named Chris my friends call me ghost.

I live and been here my whole life on the border in El Paso, TX.

I like to run and I love cars. I am no stranger to fourms. Been on DSMtalk, DSMtuners, 8thcivic, NASIOC, and gencoupe, Username is the same on all of those except maybe dsmtalk, I stick to just tuners for my DSM now.

I pretend I am not going to mod much since I have two other cars that I mess with but I know I will do a few little things here and there. Keep it clean.

I have a 92 eagle talon tsi awd. And a 2007 honda civic Ex with the JDM conversion.

My friend has a gtr exhaust I was trying to find info on how much modification it needed to work. He's hooking it up so why not.

As for pics I need my 10 post to not have them screened first lol

Thank you, yeah when I saw it I was like damn! I want it. So after a month of being busy I finally made time to go look at it. I was there all day but got the numbers favorable and I got it.

That Talon Tsi is bad! My friend had one bitd but the FWD one, and he boosted it up and ran with the big cars like 300zxtt, rx7tts, supratts, and supercharged mustang LXs...he didn't beat all of them, but he raised some eyebrows. I remember he ran a stage 7, HKS 300zxtt and beat it. The Z had more hp, but it couldn't lay it down off the line. Those TSIs can make hp easy, but their motors are fragile. My friend went through maybe, 4 motors....good times.

Yeah I am on my 5th motor, got tired of waiting for the machine shop to do basic stuff! So I bought the Z for a little speed. DSMs aren't things you can rush! Doing a 2.3l stoker build on it, all forged with a FP Green turbo (54mm, I believe?) But I love that car, my first was a FWD eclipse. They have potential.

I think my friend was pushing just a smidge over 300 hp on the dyno with his "ghetto" boost. That was a lot bitd. But he did use 110 octane race gas and straight piped it. He put some cheater slicks on it, hit up the bigger cars at the races, and managed to beat some of them. They're great sleeper cars. I think the fastest ET he got was a 13.1 at 106, 107 or something. That was considered fast for the 1990s. Even boosted up Z32TTs had a hard time doing that with over 400 hp.

Nice, yea how they are they pack a mean little punch, The 370z all motor is growing on me, it pulls nice. I will always love boost but this still puts a smile on my face that the Honda couldn't lol. I am hoping for a mid 11 once I finish this motor.
