I just found this.
What to know about Bose So there are tweeter locations in the dash? I'm guessing with the component set Crutchfield says works with the Bose system, I could mount the tweeter in that stock location. I'm also assuming the Bose amp handles the crossover points. This might be ok. |

What I know about audio, you could fit in a thimble, but bigaudiofanat and RonRizz are the go-to folks around here for that stuff.
BTW, you received my last response to your PM? |

If you want a killer system, why keep any of the Bose stuff at all?. My 2013 is Bose without Nav. When and if it comes down to it I'll replace the whole shooting match, head unit, speakers, sub and amp. No real issue doing it with the non-Nav Bose system as I understand it, but everything I know about car audio fits in a single wart on my ***. There are real audio experts on this site. Search this site to death before going and buying anything and educate yourself fully beforehand. Look at any and all Zs that come up to get the hang of it. Once you're ready, go looking seriously and when the right car comes up at the right price you'll know it. I didn't know near enough when I bought. Time spent here will serve you well, my son. Oh....and Welcome to the site. 104 Last edited by Zipper 104; 05-30-2015 at 11:55 PM. Reason: Change |

This site is teaching me much; still much to learn about the car in general.
Now, car audio in general is a different story. I use to compete Pro IASCA and I have a degree in broadcast engineering, so I know my way around a speaker and amp. I know Bose likes to use funky impedances and such. My best bet is going to be just getting one and digging into it. Just so long as I know I can still fit a 6.5" in the door of a Bose Z, I'll be fine. My concern was everything in Crutchfield's "it fits" list is 5.25" component sets.

I seem to recall reading you can fit a pretty decent speaker in the stock opening. One of the experts is sure to chime in here soon. How about posting up something in the Audio section where they 'live'? 104 |

Yeah that would probably be the smart thing to do. I know what I want in the system, but I don't know the logistics of it all yet. I shall continue to read up the wealth of info here. I'm always hesitate to ask too much on the tech forums for fear of getting the deeded "use the search button, noob." LOL

Looking at this.
2012 Used Nissan 370Z2dr Coupe Automatic for Sale in Charlotte, NC - gun metallic - JN1AZ4EH4CM562418 on Hendrickcars.com I saw the rear spoiler and the wheels, but I don't believe this is a sport model. It is a pretty ride though. |

Not yet. I'm still debating on that interior color.
