I bought my first Z (a 1971 240Z) back in 1982. That's interesting, to me.

I won my 6MT 370Z by racing for pinks while driving an auto 5.0 :stirthepot: :ughdance:

For some reason the dealer that I bought from couldn't unload my 40th. They sold it for 23k; not sure what prices around the states go for, but at the time it was least expensive Z34 of any year/mileage for sale in a 200 mile radius.

I had a similar experience. I was in the market for a 40th for about 2 months, looked at one in LA that was really beat up. One popped up on cars.com in AZ for a price that seemed low, car was in great shape, clean car fax, so I flew from OC to AZ bought the car and drove 5 hours home. I don't think dealerships look at 40th Anniversary's any differently than a regular 2010.

A little over two years ago, I was driving an 8th gen. Civic Si. I had always wanted a Z car, and one day I was standing outside my local watering hole, smoking a cigarette with my buddy, and there was a black 370 parked on the street. It looked gorgeous at that moment...just sitting there.

Of course, I wouldn't shut up about it. My buddy finally said to me "why don't you just buy one already?" Of course, my mind started trying to come up with any excuse as to why I shouldn't, and for once...it couldn't come up with anything.

Exactly a week later, I drove home from Jersey in my beautiful, silver, low mileage '09 Z.

So the Z bug has hit home hard. My husband is trading his Juke in for a black cherry (? I think) sport/touring. We agreed that having 2 amazing sports cars was the way to go. You only yolo once :roflpuke2:

My story crosses about two years. My wife and I were at the dealership buying a '12 Altima. Hanging around, I picked up the flyer for the Z. Off handed I asked if I could test drive one. The sales guy said sure. So out we went and I was reminded of why I loved sports cars and powerful cars. This had both in one package ... again ... Thus began the two year haranging of the wife. Around January, this year, I noticed that a dealer had a new '14, midnight blue, sport touring for a very reasonable price. Showed it to the the wife and she just looked at me. That car sat on the lot through January and February. In March I showed the wife again. Her comment?...! Let's go look at it. again. So we did. It was on the showroom floor. I said that's the one. The cool think is that on the way up she let me know that she had been overpaying on the Altima loan so the last payment was the March payment. Went and arranged a sweet loan and by Friday that Z was mine. :driving:

I was looking at a new 14' Nismo earlier this year. I knew the dealer where I used to worked as a tech had one and it had been on the lot for a while. I saw it every time I was there buying parts for my older Z or our 2 Maxima's. I bought my used 2008 Maxima back in 2012 with 44k miles on it. I was right at 90K miles on it 2 years later. It was time to make a move or drive the Maxima in the ground. Talked with the wife about it. Do what you want. So I went to look at it. Drove the car and like it. They were not willing to budge on the price and I was not happy about it. Tried to put me in a Sport model and I told them Hell no. Nismo or nothing. Got home later that afternoon and talked with the wife about it. I was ticked. She says, "Why don't you try to find a nice used one." That's not a bad idea. Got on Autotrader and found one exactly like I wanted. MB, rearview mirror camera, illuminated kick panels, etc. Funny thing was it was 2 blocks down the steet at the Ford dealer. Called them on Saturday and they still had it. Said I would be by Monday to look at it. Worked out the price, and I drove it home same day. Funny thing is I drive it to the same Dealer where they would not cut me a deal every time I get parts. Even honked at the sales guy not 2 weeks after telling them that they were crazy. " Told ya I was gonna get a Nismo." He got a chuckle out of it.

Horrible experience at the dealer.

Long story short

Myself and the sales manager who we can call dipsh!t, made an agreement that I will come back in a week to finalize the deal we agreed on and I'll take the car off the lot. Time comes, I test drive the car and everything seems fine, we're off to sign my life away. The manager goes back on the deal and says he won't give me the car for the price we discussed and that if I were to have purchase the car that same day, I would have gotten the deal.

I'm fuming and call him out on his BS and said "that's not what we had arranged. We agreed on the deal and shook hands as well. I don't know where you're from but when two parties shake hands, the deal is locked". He said no again and walked away. I told the salesperson that I'm leaving and good luck selling the car. He stopped me and asked what would they need to do to sell me the car. I demanded the deal we spoke about and said I'd be willing to drive the car off the lot today. They caved in and gave me the car but omg what a horrible experience.

My gf advised me not go to their since that's where she bought her Z as well and they treated her like ****. Worse dealer....ever

We have a similar dealership here in town. The only way they survive is by selling cars. The best thing to do is post horrible reviews, word of mouth to family/friends, anything to take business away. Either they will straighten up or fold. Businesses that run like this don't deserve our hard-earned money.

I was shopping for my first sports car earlier this year. I had it narrowed down to three cars. Test drove the Mustang Tuesday, the Evo on Wednesday and the Z on Thursday. I enjoyed all three and the decision was tough. The next day, they revealed the new Nismo at Z-days. I felt like it was a sign, so I decided to wait and pick up one of those.

Got my Nismo on 09/15/14. Very happy I decided to wait!

Long term z owner, I had a 70' 240, couple of 280s and then in 09 I had to have a 370, totaled the first 6m and then replaced it with a 7AT, traded that for a Lexus GS350 F sport, decided that wasn't enough sport so I'm keeping the F sport for DD and just purchased a 2015 Nismo Tech this past weekend. Drove 3 hours just to see it and I couldn't leave without it. Slow rainy day at the dealership added up to me driving it home. Now the funny part is that we spent about 4 hours at the dealership and had a great time. I know, not the normal car trading experience, but isn't buying a special car suppose to be enjoyable. For once, in this case it really was.
