You made a good choice. I went through the exact process and figured why not. Love the Z. Let me tell you though as much as you say you would limit the mods, it was difficult to stop once you get started. It has not ended so far for me.

Congrats & Welcome!
When there's no passenger, move the passenger seat up so you can see out the little window, it helps with the blind spots. Regarding road noise, dynamat the doors and hatch it definitely helps, as well as a different set of tires. |

Welcome to the family, I have yet to find anything I dislike about the Z, road noise?....well I hate silence and the sound system rocks, the sunglasses I place on the door pocket inside a glass case, the GPS is a feature I wanted because all these years since I had my eye on a 370 Z I thought the glove box cover actually was a cover for the GPS so when I found out it wasn't I made it a point to have one when I bought it. Yes if it wasn't because of the back up camera I think some of us would be putting claims on our insurance specially me since I back up every time anywhere I park (old school). Wife just got a 2014 Rogue and there is a feature on the GPS that actually shows you how you're parked, a system of 4 cameras, I think is overkill but a spiffy feature to have if you can't drive...

As for the road noise it looks like you have new tires on that used car.... are they the stock bridgestones? I have driven a 2010 cayman s and they are great cars. I can tell you my friend that had the Cayman s vs. My 350z at the time were neck and neck on a pull on the highway... I had an intake and exhaust and my car brand new was 50 percent less in price. Well enjoy your new z. They are fun cars. For the mods you want most people go with the stilled gen3 intake and fast intentions exhaust.

My choice for exhaust would have been litespeed full titanium. It sounds great gives like 14whp over the Nismo and vest of all o lyrics weighs like 14 pounds... There are other options if you don't want to wait that may be a couple notches better then a tanabe. HKS M7 Amuse Greddy
