Having owned a black car in the TX summers I will say this: It doesn't matter what color you own, it's gonna get hot no matter what!!! I noticed my black car with a black leather interior felt just as hot as my mom's beige camry with a beige leather interior. There MIGHT have been a few degrees difference, but hot is hot. I would advise to get it tinted ASAP, it definitely cuts down on the interior heat. And a windshield shade when parked.
So as far as what color, I think they're both great choices for the Z. It really should be all about preference. The only warning I have about black is that it starts looking dirty very easily. Any small amount of dirt or dust just seems to stand out. In regards to red, it stands out from the crowd more. May be a plus or minus depending how you look at it. |
