First Z!!!
Hi all! I just got my first Z! It's the 40th! I absolutely love it, I catch myself staring at it with a warm and fuzzy feeling! I did some research and she was #85 out of the 40th anniversary group!!! My new favorite number! I'm getting used to the clutch, I traded in an old model 5 speed mustang, and it's a big difference. Looking for some pointers I don't know how I feel about the synchro rev. I bought it from a dealership that knew nothing about nissan much less my Z, so I'm learning as I go.

fellow 40th owner. You need to check out the 40th Anniversary Section and please.
It never gets old looking at the car as I've had mine for three years, and I still over it. You'll find everything you need in the best forum on the Interweb...

Welcome to group and esp. the 40th AE club. I've driven Zs since 74 starting a 72 240Z, 90 300ZX 2+2, 95 300ZX 2+2s, 95 300ZX-TT, and now my 2010 370Z. They can be a bit addictive! If you haven't heard of Mr K yet, Google him because we're all deeply indebted to him; and he's probably the coolest 103 yr old guy around.
Also, one nuisance about the 370Z is the awkward clutch engagement point. Recommend your first mod be RJM clutch pedal system which will enable you to adjust it and make it much more enjoyable. Enjoy and come back often! |

Welcome and you may find that after a while your neck starts to hurt.
I think we all develop a bit of whiplash from looking back to check on our babies as we walk away. It really is a Z thing. |
