Hi from Dubai and my experience of the Nissan Dealer here!
First of all a big hello and thanks to the members on the forum. I lurked around for several months doing research before I bought by 370z in May of this Year and the information and insight was very useful.
Please don't judge me too much: However I come from a diesel background with my last car being the BMW 123D M sport, great handling car and the same amount of torque as an M3 but wow moving to my first ever owned petrol car has been amazing. All 3.7 liters of it. Moving from the UK to Dubai in January of this year and only paying £15 for a full 70 litre tank of super is brilliant! So I've done 10,000km in the car and you have to get it serviced every 5000km here. Think its because of the heat the engine runs and the longevity of the oil. Anyway its the warranty terms of Nissan in Dubai. I had my first paid for oil service, (first two services were free). Just the usual oil filter, oil change and inspection. Paid $130 or £82. Which i thought was extremely cheap, it should have been £100 but they gave me a discount as i complained about alloys being coated in grease after the last service valet. They also cleaned all the Dubai dust off my pads and discs, so the squeak has gone at slow speeds and they feel much sharper. They even touched up a chip on the front bumper for free. The only issue is that they had the wheels off the car for the first time and re-balanced one of the wheels, now I have a very slight wobble in the steering between 120 -125 kmph. Took it back today and they correcting it and to say sorry for the mess up they will deliver the car back to my office for me. Over and out for now. |
Welcome friend :)

If I may ask, what does a Z cost there? I recall reading that in many foreign countries the price is way higher than in USA.

I believe I have the GT spec, satnav, 19" rays etc and I paid AED 150,000 which in US dollars is $40.8k And the oil is synthetic. |

I thought the import tax on cars there was 500% or something ridiculous |
Welcome friend. Cheers from Miami. I might be in Dubai for vacation soon.
Consumer states get the best deals. Ever bought in bulk? Cheaper right. USA, UEA, S/A basically any rich oil nation will have alot of people that buy nice ****. We pay cheaper for our G/Z then the Japanese do. Where is the logic in that? |
Welcome and congrats on the purchase my friend!
If I send you some cash can you ship me some of that petrol at $20/full tank? Hahaha! I kid, I kid. Hahaha. Enjoy the Z! |
Welcome to the forum!
Im also from the Uk, living in Dubai and got my Z in May this year, scary hey! What colour you go for? I just got the basic coupe, sat nav winds me up and ive lived this long without a parking camera, but it will bite me come sale time as those are two things every man and his dog wants out here!! Good thing have no intentions of selling it anytime soon. The dealer sales wise out here was utterly and totally useless, I sold the car to myself, did most of the paperwork and even ended up registering it myself as I couldn't trust them to get the thing ready on time. Service wise they have been quite reasonable so far and I agree the servicing is cheap, albeit a total pain in the arse every 5k. Enjoy the car!! |
