Welcome. Congrats on teh new ride. I didn't get past the Z. I was going to try a couple of other cars but when I got behind the wheel I had to have it. Can anyone say Impulse Buy.

Congratz on the car man looks great. I was/am still in the same boat you are in, except I haven't found the right Z yet. I drove the Genesis 3.8 Track a couple of times and it is a good car, but not as good as the Z, so I think you made the right choice. The Genesis looks good, but Z looks better; drives nice, but Z drives better; turns heads, but Z turns more and so on and so forth. Just all in all it is the better choice and I think you will be happier with it.

Leuz and 10MPlayer,
I felt the same way; i test drove the Z first and absolutely fell in love as soon as I got behind the wheel. I did a lot of research also, and I hardly heard any complaints about it; the ones I did hear didn't seem like anything that would bother me (cabin/road noise, lack of space, etc...) ...I knew the drawbacks of a real sports car, and did not care dtul, I thought the same things you did when comparing the two, except I never even drove the genesis; i sat in one once and that's it. It seems unfair to not give it a chance... but i do not regret my decision at all; i am 110% happy with it Good luck on finding the right Z for you man! I'm sure that when you do, you will never look back and smile every time you get in it like i do |

I'm not much of a mod guy. Too many years I had to work on cars. Now I can pay someone to do it. I honestly see a lot of money spent with little gain as far as performance goes, unless you go FI. I sure as H ell don't want it loud. It would nice if you could turn the loud on or off depending on your mood. My old MGA had vents on the pipes where you could open it up and bypass the muffler. Maybe there's something like that for our cars and I don't know about it.
As for modding just for looks, I guess I like it the way it is. I like the lowered look with the spacers on the wheels but I'm already dragging the front end every time I go in or out of the driveway or over a speed hump. I do think the roadster would look cool with a small tasteful spoiler on the trunk. |
