New-to-me 09'. Anyone know this car?
Hello folks. I recently traded in my 13' Subaru BRZ for a 09' 370z (sport) with only 4,200 miles. I drove from Upstate NY and made the trade at a Nissan dealership in Erie, PA. The car features all of the upgrades I was looking to do, even some that the dealership didn't appear to be aware of (or at least didn't mention in the ad):
- Carbon Signal add-on spoiler - Stillen roof spoiler (I removed this, however) - White shift knob (I replaced this with an OEM shifter) - Stillen cat-back exhaust - Lowering Springs (haven't determined what make) - H&R wheel spacers - Front/Rear Sway Bars (not sure what brand, they are red if that's helpful :D) - What appears to be an aftermarket oil cooler I saw this exact car (same PA plates from dealer's ad and aero pieces mentioned above) in a thread on this forum regarding the Carbon Signal spoiler. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this particular car. It seems to be properly set-up for some road racing, not sure if that's the case. I love the vehicle, no gripes. Just curious about the vehicle's history (aside from what is shown on a simple Carfax report) and if there are any other modifications that I'm not aware of. Anyhow, quite thrilled with the 370z, thanks for welcoming me to your forum :driving: As it sits now: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...psf15878c4.jpg The day I picked it up: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...psf87eb01f.jpg Link to the thread I mentioned above, post #400: http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...iler-_-27.html |
Congrats and Welcome! :hello:

First off welcome!
I personally think the Z beats the BRZ in 9/10 categories. I hope after driving your Z after a couple weeks you will feel the same. The car has some great mods! Would you be interested in getting rid of that stillen roof spoiler? I am interested to see how it looks on my car. Thank you & This forum is more helpful then you could ever imagine lol |

Regarding the BRZ, I'd have to agree. Not a bad car at all and I planned to own it for a long time, but the 370Z is simply a step up in just about every category. Seems reasonable, considering the price of each model brand-new. I stumbled across a listing for a used Nismo 370Z that wasn't as expensive as I would've thought, so I started to look into used, low-mileage Zs. I found my current car about 2 weeks later. Totally unexpected trade, but I'm not complaining  |
..Since we're talking about the BRZ, here are a couple of pics of the one I traded in, and of the car I owned prior to that (Saab 9-2x Aero, same as the WRX wagon for those not familiar). Both had mild exhaust/suspension mods.
