About my new purchase, I just upgraded from a peppy slightly modded 2008 Honda Civic Si. The 350/370z line has been a target car of mine for a while and test drove quite a few prior to purchasing a 2012 gunmetal grey base 370z (no nav, no rev match, which I like, 18" rims, wish it had 19s).

I plan on this to be my first serious tuner car because I think the platform warrants the extra dollars my previous cars didn't. My question to the forum (lots of great info and research BTW) I wanted to get your opinion on what order my dream parts should be purchased as I will not be able to gather them all at once. I have a pretty good list of what items I've settled on I just need to know what your suggestions are for most noticeable upgrades, as in the things I will feel best about purchasing first by seeing noticeable increases to both performance and feel as I continue on to the next piece. All that said here is the list. A simple 1,2,3 list of 1 being best most noticeable to etc. In your opinion:

AEM 41-1001C intake (chose this because it seems to be the one with the most care to incorporate the MAFS rather than trick it via progressive tube diameters)
Stillen short throw shifter
Stopteck cross drilled brakes and pads and upgraded brake lines
KM V3 coil over kit( still optioning the idea of V1 simply because I have no intention of taking this car to track, this is a DD)
Fast intentions CBE 18" res with HF cats
Eibach anti roll Sway bars ( would consider stillen if someone could direct me why they would be better)
Cusco RS LSD?
Kinetix racing camber kit if needed
Kinerix racimg traction links camber/traction
Nismo gear shifter knob
NST pulley set w/ suggeated belt (dunno if these are still available, stillen of not)
19" rims on the cheap. Stock sport rims would be perfect for me

I want to close by saying I respect the continued advice you guys provide. Been lurking here for a good month prior to my purchase. Lots of info, thank you

First of all, welcome Now about your list... Don't buy the kinetix stuff, if you are going to buy camber kits and traction links, look at SPL. I think SPC is the only real player in the front camber arm market right now (hopefully changes soon). I have the AEM'a and NST pulleys, I highly recommend them. That would be the first two things as they are inexpensive and have good gains. Buy the Nismo version of the AEM's, they made slight tweaks and they make more power. Order the F.I. exhaust when you get the AEM's and NST pulleys. By the time it's done, you should (dependingon financial situation) be able to finish paying it off and ready to ship. NST pulleys are usually on back order so prepare to wait on those as well. If you can't foot the bill on the exhaust, buy the HFC's first. Berks are a forum fav, but F.I. and GTM's are good choices as well. BUY AN OIL COOLER!!! 25 row minimum... it will keep the fun lasting longer.

Welcome. Seem to have a lot of handling mods for someone not interested in the track... makes me wonder why you need all that stuff.

While I have no track intentions I at heart am a driver who loves to feel stuck to the road. daily driver yes, but I daily drive aggressively. Not illegally mind you, I just love the feel of a rigid car that transfers roads to the driver as much as possible. Want to drive street...just not on a street track...if that makes sense.

the 2012 comes with a factory cooler, is that not going to be enough? Car now runs a 180-220 deg tops as it sits.

Doesn't mean im against getting it, had one on my civic, a dual filter unit so its not a bad idea, just wondering if still nessesary?

Any backroads driving will not keep the car cool with the stock unit, especially during summer months. If you ever want to tackle the Dragon, get an oil cooler

GTM Competition and Z1 seems to be in the same price range and quality but I also found a site that has Stillen for about $150 less. Any major differences in the three?

While we're at it any other suggestions for quality on a budget?

not sure what size the Stillen one is, but both GTM and Z1 are similar. I would spend extra to get a thermostatic plate. I don't have personal experience with either though. I have an AE Performance oil cooler, don't bother looking, it's 2x as expensive
