On the subject of kw v3 vs v1, I know v3 is a fan favorite here but for my uses, slightly stiffer handling and a bit of lowering is the v3 worth the extra cost? If anyone has specs on OEM vs v1 difference in feel and possible rebound spec comparrison it'd be a great help. I don't mind researching it but if someone knows it right off hand to save e a little research it would be greatl appreciated.

So anyone have experience with kw v1 setup?

Got some good and bad news followed by good news...

The good news, I'm fine...

The bad news, my baby wasn't...

but from the ashes arose a new, good news!

Same year, similar mileage Nismo, and it only took 5 terrifying 360s going down the interstate in the rain to get it. Fair trade?

Not quite, but I am enjoying the Nismo vs. The stock one I had...seriously night and day in experience. I mean its the same car but oh so much different.

To clarify I was breaking no laws and didnt even get a ticket, but hydroplanning can be a bish. First time ever I was unable to recover from one.

I sooooo almost cried, I was hurting looking at those pics. Then I saw the Nismo and I was filled with joy. I am happy to see you stuck with a Z. Ok dedicate this Captain Black and Gingerale to your old ride. RIP

Edit: F'n autocorrect

Thanks so much. The wife saw the car before she saw me and seriously just broke down. Needless to say she has been super nice to me since. Is it bad to abuse it to get parts??? :stirthepot:

Now see I love me some good ol double entendre, hehe  Especially when referring to her.

I am double lucky, she's pretty with a level head, understands & accepts/supports my car obsession.

That's like 3 or 4 things but what the hell it's Friday, worrying about accurate numbers is for weekdays, right?

The shop it got towed to let me get the shift knob as a reminder of how lucky I was after I requested it. Wife got a little glass case with wood base to put it in.

Sitting on my TV table in our game room now.

Lucky man-you are ;)

my husband likes to torment me about my Z obsession but he is always cognizant of things I want and they usually show up in their own good time.
And yes, i do use ALL tools available too!

That is scary bro! Hydroplaning sucks akin to giving your keys to the water on the road and saying "here, it's all yours". Glad to see the positive outcome.

You made a wise choice....
