Just picked this baby up yesterday! Worst part of owning a Z, is turning it off and getting out of it. Now what to do as the first mod???:tup:

Definitely a happy new year! I know what you mean about turning it off. I go sit in it in the middle of the night sometimes but can't really go driving around in my boxers and nowhere to go at 2am without getting pulled over for suspicious activity.

:iagree:My thoughts exactly. Tint always makes a car look nice. Called today for a quote. $140 isn't bad at all. Probably won't go limo though, don't want to give the fuzz any reasons to pull me.

I'd go limo on the back and do 20%~ on the others, or whatever legal is



Leave the port holes light, they do help when merging lanes

And if you do the back really dark it will make the rest SEMM darker than it is :-)

Yeah, right on about the exhaust note. I do miss the sound of the stock 350s when it comes to that. Other than that the 370 is better, when it comes to both the interior and exterior. I was thinking about going with the Borla True Dual system. Any advice on picking an exhaust out would be appreciated though. Thanks for love guys and gals.

Sounds like excellent advice. I planned on going limo on that back window, but never would have thought about the port holes. In our cars we need all the help we can get when it comes to merging into another lane. Gets kinda scary sometimes.

I doubt anyone will recommend Borla

I have a Stillen, I die for it, gets sweeter by the MINUTE...

Fast Intentions isn't cheap, quality is A+++, and I've never heard of anyone complaining

I think the deepest exhaust note is Ark, and if I were to do it again, I might have done Ark

I just did Solar Gard tint HP Charcoal 22% looks great, I put 30% on first and with that huge front window it lets in so much light, it didn't even look tinted. The Solar Gard HP Charcoal 22% was dark enough to tell it has tint but does not look illegal. (until the cop tests the VLT) $140 is a great price,... what film are they using, sounds too good?

Nice looking ride Rupie! I'm not sure what type of film they use. Its TNT Tint in VA Beach. I've had them do all of my previous cars. They give a lifetime warranty on all of their work.

Yeah, for $140 it ain't huper optik or the other one (ceramic tint)
But I never had any issues with regular tint... And neither has the OP, so keep us posted once you tint it!

They probably use Llumar, which is the most commonly use auto film. As long as they are a shop, rather than the guy tinting under the bridge behind Wal-mart you'll be fine. All tints will give you the look, the high dollar films (ceramic, nano tech) will give you greater heat rejection and be more color stable (last longer), but you'll be at $275-300.

Congratulations OP! When it comes to tint i say Ceramikool or Llumar considering your like me and live in the south. Exhaust systems are based on individual opinion, research is your best friend. I wouldn't trade my exhaust for any other exhaust that's made for the 370Z, always been a huge JDM fan when it came to aftermarket parts, couldn't be happier!:happydance:

I know exactly how you feel, every time I drive my car I never want to leave :happydance:
Then I remember how much it cost for a full tank of gas, getting out isn't so hard after that :ugh2:

I got her tinted yesterday. I found a different place and went with the Huper Optik. It cost me $240. But got a lifetime warranty and it looks nice. Wish I would've gone darker, but I didn't wanna give the cops any extra reasons to pull me. VA tint laws are ridiculous. :mad: I had to go with 35% rear and 50% on the sides. Might eventually go 35% on the sides. Thanks again for all the positive feed back and advice on what tint to buy. Now I want an exhaust!

Nice Z! Looks alot like mine! Got 15% on mine but the cops here aren't as harsh as in VA. Congrats!

yah I see where you wana go darker, it is very very light. All of my previous cars have 5% all around, ive been stopped 3 times in 15 years of driving but just got my first ticket last month for it by some dude who thought I had drugs on me..../facepalm.
