2013 Gun Metal Touring Sport

Hello, Iam a new 2013 z owner. Iam planning on doing some bolt ons at first and FI in the future. I previously owned a 2001 Mustang that put down 610rwhp, so I am experienced with modifying cars just not a Z car. I was trying to decide what would be a good (not to loud) CBE...and I was also wondering about voiding the warranty, not ready to do that since the car is new....Any thoughts or coments would be greatly appreciated... My goal is 300+RWHP without voiding warranty if posible...:hello:

I recommend the Fast Intentions exhaust. I couldn't be happier with mine. Not too loud... it just gives you a nice deep tone. Check out my before and after video...

Awesome pics! In fact, your pics helped me choose the color of my next Z. I'm trading in my black 2009 Touring w/Sport/nav because it's been causing me a headache with oil consumption and I was itching for the 2013 anyways. I was tempted to get another black one but I figured... what the hell, go with gun metallic. I'm really hoping I don't regret it because I loved having a black Z. The problem was that it was a big pain to keep it looking nice. Anyways, should have my gun metallic 370z Touring w/Sport, nav and mats by end of the week! I never thought I would ever find myself buying a slightly updated version of the same car... but the fact is that I love driving this car. There is nothing that I would really change except getting a more reliable engine and maybe some performance improvements. Here's to hoping that the 2013s finally found a way to mitigate the oil consumption issues... :(

Doing a cbe won't void a warranty, only slight chance would be if you had issues with your HFCs but they'd have to prove it was caused by the cbe. I've got the 5zigen pro racer and I love it, jdm

Just picked up my 2013 370z Touring w/Sport and Nav in Gun Metallic. Traded in my 2009 Z for it. The dealer where I located the car must have put pinstripes on it. (screenshots 2 and 3 below) It was a bit of a surprise when I first saw them because I did not ask for them. From what I understand they can easily be taken off... but I kind of like them. They go with the gun metallic color pretty well. Here are some pics... let me know what you think! If you think they are too 70s let me know... but I'm thinking they kind of go with the retro 370z look. They put them close enough to the edge of the hood and window that they really just help to accent the car's lines.

 Pin my stripes.

cosmicdust73 08-30-2012 08:02 PM

Thanks guys! Yeah I'm getting used to them. :rofl2:

I will say though... there is one thing I am disappointed in with the 2013 as compared to my 2009. The Music Box option that was part of the Navigation package on the 2009 is nowhere to be found! It's like the hard drive is gone! The only option is to connect your iphone or ipod. There is simply no ability to record a music CD. What gives? I used to love that feature!

Was at a dealership today and saw some 2013s. I didn't take any pics or look at them side by side with an earlier model, but I left with the impression that their sport wheels are a little darker than the previous ones. Was that just the cloudy sky playing tricks on me or are they a shade darker? I do like the new sport rays quite a bit though.

diddy535 09-05-2012 08:06 PM

I think the new rays are shaped a little differently too? They look more curved but maybe it's just the color throwing me...

brucelidat 09-05-2012 08:07 PM

No, they are definitely shaped differently for sure.

bad01gt 09-06-2012 08:31 AM

The new sport wheels are almost like a black crome in color...I think that they look better in person than they do in pictures

Oddly, I feel the opposite, I like the pics, but in person I was like SCORE for grabbing one of the few GM 2012 left on the lots round these parts
