Howdy fellas
thought id say gday, just got myself a 2010 370z from pickles salvage auction, im slowly rebuilding it between study and work, hopefully ill have it on the road in 2 or 3 months in time for some cruisin down great ocean road, if anyones up for a cruise or if anyone has a club outing lemme know, im up for some Z fun when the time comes from a search of the forum it seems to lack posts about impact repair so ill be writing up posts on my experiences, ill begin by writing up information regarding replacing airbags and the hood actuators (once i have the parts that is, im still sourcing a good supplier) the next few months will be a serious learning experience for me, ill try my best to document and help others out on this forum cheers sam Attachment 49150 |
Cheers Sam! And welcome to the forum!

Not the kind of "hello" thread we are used to, but, congratulations and welcome to the forum. Definitely looking forward to the progress.

Good luck man! Thought about doing a similar project. Looking forward to seeing the updates. Good luck!

Welcome and congratulations. That is a great way to get to know the Z next to modding. Good luck with your build. Cheers!

Its great to see someone take that task to start the unknown and bring a cars soul back to life. I'll be watching you reach your goal!!! You'll know the car better than skilled Nissan Techs in no time. Are you going to replace some things with goodies?
|
Good luck with it all man, theres a aussie club too and LOTS of melbourne members but everyone happy to help, Id post there too Zclub - Australia's Largest Nissan 370Z and Nissan 350Z Forum if you havent been on already. For cruises id check the aussie site out.

today i found found a wrecker that will be selling me a half cut 370 for me to pull parts from. the half cut came from a water damaged 370 from sydney, it only had 4000km on the clock and due to laws in sydney the car becomes an instant stat writeoff such a shame. ive negotiated a price of $6000, for that im getting 2 airbags, a dash, 2 front guards, front bar, hood, radiator supports, radiator, condensor, oil coolers, hood rams, replacement SRS module, replacement ram modules basically everything i need to bring my z back to its former glory, as an added bonus ive convinced the wrecker to give me the set of 19" rays forge wheels as part of the price, i think its a good price i bought the car for 14k from pickles auctions, ill spend 6k on parts and an additional 1k on paint work plus the fees involved in VIV and rego, ill essentially be able to build the car and register it for under 25k i have plans for a full catback exhaust at some point as well as a stillen CAI. im still studying at the moment and working part time, so things will take time but eventually everything will come together. |
