Thanks for the tips and praise, everyone. I really can't believe how awesome of a car this is for the price. It's a 7AT, but I can't complain in the least. I bought it on ebay and flew up to Ohio a few days later for only $200. The owner of the dealership picked me up from the airport and said it had been sitting on the lot since 2010. The salesman he turned me over to looked like he wanted to punch me in the face, ha!

I drove it from Dayton to Atlanta overnight. Doing 80 to 110mph through the Tennessee mountains at midnight was driving nirvana. I almost never took it over 4k RPMs, yet it was still such a thrill. It's amazing how fast this thing can take a downhill turn without losing the slightest bit of grip. I can't wait to get it broken in and really be blown away.

WOW........ That is very very low miles for being two yrs old. Welcome & congrats on your new purchase. The car is basically brand spanking new. Hell it is better than a demo.

I've read several of the threads concerning turbo and supercharger mods for the 370z. I'm car stupid, to be honest, so please bear with me. I am pretty good at reading though!

It seems like the supercharger is the safer, cheaper, and possibly better route. I assume this is highly debatable. My potential choice is thus a supercharger kit, mostly for cost and less complexity.

On to my question.

What other mods does/should one need to incorporate to surround and fully support a stillen supercharger kit (is this one the best?) on a 370z Sport Touring 7AT? So far I see that an Uprev is pretty much necessary with all induction mods. The other buzz words I've picked up are headers, CBE, etc.

This will be my daily.

Sure. Here are my observations:
1. Many people who install FI end up selling their car soon. Not sure whats causing it, but may be the following points are the reasons why its happening.
2. Cost and time. Getting it done right takes a lot of money and a lot of time.
3. Reliability loss. Many stock turbos have occasional problems. Aftermarket FI cannot be better... our engine is not designed for FI (although its a really good reliable and strong engine that can take this better than most other NA engines). But still, throughout the life of the vehicle, you will have more problems with the car and unless you can work on the car yourself, it will be in the shop frequently. Note that for a track car reliability is not really a huge issue. You kind of expect occasional problems when tracking a car.
4. Hurts resell value... very few people want to buy a car with a used aftermarket FI turbo... Note that for a track car resell is not an issue.
5. Speed is relative. Ok, you are a whole second faster quartermile... now what? Stock Z is faster than 99% of the cars I see on the street. When FI it will faster than 99.7% of the cars on the street. Was that 0.7% worth it? Besides, even with FI there will be plently of cars that will be faster than you. Note that for a track you are no longer faster than 99% of the cars... so you do want a faster car
6. Traffic. It is not very often when you get to go fast during daily driving. Most of the time you spend in traffic, slowly moving, or driving at a constant speed on the interstate. In these conditions NA car will probably feel smoother or at least the same. And during those rare times when you do get to go fast, even the stock Z will put a smile to your face.

Note how these points are not as relevant if your car is a track or weekend car. Finally, I wanted to say that 370z is already an amazing car the way it comes from the factory. One can have a ton of fun with it on the road and adding FI is not worth the risk and trouble for a daily driver.

I do think it is a badass ride out of the box. I'm the impulsive type that likes to dream about all the impractical stuff too though.

I happen to be in a weird situation where I work weekend nights and have 4 days off every week. I can proudly say that I almost never drive in Atlanta traffic, which has made my life incredibly more stress free, incidentally. I considered going nuts with mods because of how much I saved on the car, and it feels like one I may never want to sell because of that...but then again, impulsiveness will probably come a callin'.

I think the responsible thing to do might be to wait it out and trade in for a used GT-R down the road.

Don't let these guys scare you about forced induction. There is no reliability factor if it its installed and tuned properly. Ive dealt with forced induction for years and if you use the proper parts and get the tuning done right from the start you'll be good to go. To be honest, people need to educate themselves more about their vehicle and FI principles before letting a shop do 100% of everything. Before I let a professional tuner touch one of my vehicles I try to understand how and why he is tuning a specific item. Doesn't matter if its a stand alone, piggyback or flash. Get to know it.
