Longtime 280Z owner, First Modern Z
Wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am a longtime Z fanatic that finally made the plunge into a modern sports car with my recent purchase of a 2010 platinum graphite 370Z. Car is a fully loaded touring coupe with sport package, manual trans, navigation and all the other little bells and whistles that I've never needed but always wanted. :icon17:
I've been a member on HybridZ for many years as I've slowly modified and restored my 77 280Z that I've had nearly 10yrs now and was my (mostly) daily driver while I went through the latter part of high school and college. At the moment the 77 is sitting on stand in my garage waiting on me to crawl under and weld in some stronger reinforcing frame rails to fix the rusted and bent up factory ones. This car has made a ton of progress over the years but still has spent entirely too much time on stands in the garage lately. I have grown tired of waiting for that (hopefully not so) far off day when I will be able to drive it again. So I decided the best way to remedy that itch to drive a sports car is again was to go out and buy the 370Z I've wanted for years! Now I have a sporty daily driver to keep me happy and can focus on making the 280Z the beast I know it can be. Its late tonight and I don't have any good pics of the new Z yet anyway (since I just brought her home tonight), but I will get some of both cars posted soon. |
Welcome and Congrats! In for the pics of both Zs!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Good looking Z's Zemurray. Are you running the stock engine/EFI on your 280Z? Also, I really wanted one of the 40th anniversary models but unfortunately could not find one nearby or for the price I wanted to pay. I test drove one last Nov. but I wasn't ready to buy a the time and the dealership was asking way more than I wanted to pay anyway.
Here are a couple crappy pics to hold y'all over. http://www.the370z.com/members/alecn...diesel-4x4.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/alecn...itting-lot.jpg And a very old pic of the 280Z before someone plowed into me and I had to replace both front fenders and airdam. Also car has 16x8 Gold Sportmaxx 002s on it. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...o/DSCF0753.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...o/DSCF0724.jpg |
