Hey everyone, picked up my brand new 2012 370z, 7AT gun metallic / persimmons touring with sports package a couple of weeks ago (a nice X-MAS gift for myself ) and finally decided to register to these forums after much reading when waiting for my car to be delivered. Haven't pushed the car too much yet (damn winters:() but I am loving every moment with the car (causes me to bounce from school early just so I can drive around in it ). Was originally looking at a 2012 Evo X MR (due to coming from an AWD 2009 A4), however, after much consideration (and the fact that I have an FX35 and LR2 at my disposal), decided to go with the 370z. I knew I made the right choice when I dropped off the GF for breakfast, went to park the car and after I came in she told me all the waiters/staff were in aww and staring at the car as I drove by (Definitely wouldn't of happend with an evo :P). Planning on adding Stillen gen 3, Akrapovič exhaust, tints, some minor interior changes and new HREs once the summer roles around. Anyways hope to contribute to the forums! Cheers

D

Another Canuck! Welcome to the forum!

Are you going to be putting snow tires on it? Or just use one of the other vehicles when the weather is really bad?

370ZMTL 01-09-2012 08:29 PM

Bit of both. I've already put on 19 blizzacks (on sport rims and yes i know people will hate me for that lol) but i am confident i will keep em in good shape. However, when bad storms do hit, I will be taking one of the trucks. Mind you I have been very impressed with its drivability in the snow. Have yet to rly lose control or feel like i shouldnt be drving her in the winter. Montreal has been lucky so far this winter and we havnt been hit hard with snow. Hopefully it stays this way :D

We have been very lucky so far this winter! Lets keep it up. lol

The Blizzacks are a must! My car was loose with the stock tires in October when the temperature started to drop... I couldn't imagine using summer tires on the Z in the winter. :eekdance:

Haha I agree! When I was driving to the mechanic to get my winter rims on, there was a thin layer of snow on the ground, had to drive extremely slow. But here in QC, from Dec 15 to Mar 15, winter tires are mandatory, so had no choice but to put em on.

Welcome man, hope to see you around the city in the spring! You'll love the Z...you'll get to really appreciate it once the nice weather rolls in! :)

Check out MontrealVQ also, great local club if that interests you

Here's a big welcome from western Canada. Congrats on your new Z!

Thanks:) Ya I can't wait for the summer to roll around so I can really drive it.. But you won't have to wait till spring to see me driving around, only bad storms will keep me from driving her this winter and we've been really lucky so far. BTW any suggestions on where to go to get mods installed/tuning done here? First car I will be modding (never did anything to my A4 as it was a lease), and wondering where the best place to go would be.

Spark Motoring in Laval....some guys from the Montreal VQ club recommended them, they are awesome. Specialize in modified vechicles...for tuning, there is Johnny Motorsports...I think in spring we are doing a groupbuy with the VQ club on the Uprev Tune
