synthetic or not

I have a new 370 and the owners manual does not specify synthetic oil. I know once you start with synthetic you can't go back. Should I move to synthetic

I know once you start with synthetic you can't go back. Should I move to synthetic oil or stay with convential 5-30 API ? Am I buying more protection or just waisting money?
