Picked up my 2012 sport package M6 black metallic this past sunday for about 2K under invoice. Car just came off from delivery and it wasn't even prepped!

I paid about 32k with sport package, floor mats and trunk mats. They paid off my lease about $1450 also. I used the numbers from American express zag website.

I'm supposed to take the car to get it prepped, paint has residue from all the plastic cover and also black paint has some swirl marks, rear strut aluminum bar has a few scratches so I will make them replace that.

Will call dealer tomorrow to follow up, so far I put 200 miles in 2 days! Love this car, came off from an x5 and previously xk8.
Couldn't be happier, now I need a cf front lip, hard wirey V1, get intake and exhaust. Anything else you guys recommend? Will 09-11 stuff fit with no issues?

This is what did. Sun after lunch I checked inventory of 2011 and most dealers only had 2-3 2011 left. Went to Universal city and I asked if they sell under msrp and they said no, so I walked out. Went to miller Nissan and started to deal on a silver 2011 sport m6. End of negotiation I told him I don't really like the silver and preferred gun metallic or black and left. I priced out everything off American Express | Auto Purchasing Program
And they will match or beat it easy. Told them I had 2 month left on my lease and they said they would pay it off on top of the savings since I was working on a 2011. Left tue dealer, end of the night get a call from dealer they said they found a 2012 that just arrived and they would still honor same deal. So picked up the car the next morning.

so how does this program work??i dont get it

09-11 stuff is all the same.

Please post your aprox VIN#, built date and exact delivery date over here. You can get the build date info from your dealer.

The way the program works, this is usually for american express card holders but anyone can do this. Same with truecar.com I think. Basically they are a 3rd party company putting deals together. You can then print out the price and it will tell you which dealers are honoring that and at what price. With that you go to the dealership and you can pay that EXACT same price, but there is always some room there to negotiate as well. It will show you what the invoice price etc is and what a lot of people paid. I use this as a negotiating tool, if they don't do better or atleast same then I can always buy in another dealer that is offering this.

I think zag.com is the same website.

2K below invoice through 3rd parties usually involves Nissan VPP pricing one way or another. American Express likely has a partnership with dealers and Nissan and are extending the VPP discounts through Nissan to the dealership. Think of them as the middle man.

I got my car for $2K below invoice, but I had VPP discount code direct from a Nissan Motors employee. :)

are your fangs painted flat black? or is it just the angle?

it is just the angle. There are no changes from 2011 to 2012 besides the oil cooler. I will try to find it and take a pic, if anyone wants. I will take out my camera this weekend and take pics.

Does anyone know where I can find the navigation cubby hole? I want to fit a touch screen on there since I don't have navi. I looked on the audio/video forum but not much info there. I could buy a g37 navi control/bezel and retrofit that maybe. Ideas?

Oil cooler is standard now!?! Whaaat?

OP, I was wondering what range of oil temps are you seeing? I'm just curious how well this new OEM oil cooler is working. Have you done any spirited driving, and if so what was the highest oil temp you've seen?

Haven't revved the engine past 4.5k rpm but with bumper to bumper traffic etc highest it got on a hot day was 220 I wanna say, right smack in the middle, usually it is around 180

thanks, i'm installing navi/touch screen and I'm looking for the VSS wire, and reverse wire. Where and which ones are they? I've been running searches but couldn't find it. This is the base model.

Does the 2012 have the red start button or is it the white standard one?

all nissan except the GTR come with the white button standard. I will do the start button mod later.

just hardwire my V1, I was stupid enough that my cable is 1" too short hahaha! I will have to redo it later.

I tried to search also for touring seats swap into a base. I only saw a couple of threads of people thinking the wiring might or not be there. Thoughts?
