Oh my _________, you bought it from Jeff Schmitt?????????

We really need to talk!!!!!! Send me a PM and I'll get back with you tomorrow. There is no bigger lying sack of sh*t B.S dirt bag c*ck s*cking pr*ck dealer than Jeff Schmitt. Forgive my french.

Just make sure they don't drill holes in the front bumper like they did to the Z I test drove in May.

Seriously, oooooohhhhh, I feel for you.....

Oh sh*t, I just looked at your pictures again, I hope it's the lighting, but it appears from the limited pic they DID screw the front plate into your bumper. Hell, it even looks crooked. Please say it isn't so.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well I have not taken it off and if they did, I will let them know, yes I did, but the only reason was the red mist affect, also it was there the one I wanted.

I am not through with them yet, working on a nice letter to nissan about them.....

Did they give you wheel locks? I can't tell from the pics (my eye sight is good, but not THAT good).

Glad you are not done with them, they are terrible. Let them have it as much as you can. Do not back off.

Did they forcingly try to sell you some sort of underbody treatment? And are they forcing you to buy the $300 window etching theft crap? They did both these things when I test drove the crap out their car in May. Both those services are crap, and are just 98% Jeff Schmitt profit.

I have a really bad history with this guy and his dealership. He promotes lies and deception. Do not trust them.

Which sales guy do you have? I forget his name now, but the guy in May loved calling me "man." "Hows it goin' man? What are you looking for today man? Sure man, no problem man. It's a great car man. You know man it's got a CVT transmission man?" It was then I knew he was talking out his arse.

Oh, and the car I drove had the license plate screwed right into the front bumper. First, even if you do put it on, it's supposed to attach to the black section of the bumper down underneath, not the color painted part. Check the black part and you will see 2 small indent dimples where the screws should go. But I say, how dare they put any screw holes in my car bumper. They should ask the customer before doing such a thing. Who in their right mind puts 2 holes into the front bumper of a brand spanking new sports car????

Tell them to take that stupid white Jeff Schmitt sticker crap off the back while you are at it.

RRRrrrrrrr. Just thinking about them makes my blood boil.

Sorry for the ranting.

Seriously, I sincerely hope you do not have the issues I had with them. I would not wish that on anyone. I hope you have nothing but positives out of your experience. Good luck.

I agree. That would piss me off. Oh, and I'd make them remove the dealership decal they slapped onto the rear under the 370Z emblem.

I agree, when i ordered my 2012 i gave my salesman and the performance supervisor/salesman a copy of demands and reminders to follow once delivered. The op just saw a 2012 on the lot and fell in love, can't blame him though.

Not that I would have ever bought the car from Jeff Schmitt back in May (even though it was 99% of the car I wanted), having the license plate screwed into the bumper made it all the easier to just walk. Not to mention the way the guy closed the hood, and the doors etc, he had no clue how to do it right. And all his non-sense sales crap. The price was listed straight up on the internet, yet they still tried to haggle me on it; the stupid back and forths. It took 3 times back and forth and they still had that stupid underbody spray and the window etching in the price.

I figured since I wanted to see what the car had in it, which meant punishing it a bit in it's break in period, then I was going to Jeff Schmitt to do it to one of his cars. I would NEVER trash a car on purpose, but since I had to find out how it handled and how fast it was, if anything had gotten hurt a bit I'm glad it was up to Jeff Schmitt's pocket book to fix.

Crap, I ranted again. Sorry everybody. I did not mean to hijack this thread.

I believe it's been posted here on this forum that in the 370 Z manual it says, nothing over 4000 RPM for like the first 1000 miles or something like that. Someone with manual will have to confirm.

Default Break In per the manual.

Here it is in the 2010 manual, page #296.

Nothing over 4000 RPM for the first 1200 miles.

It's 1200 and it's all warranty-denial crap.

If you build a new engine and don't run it out at all in the first 1200 miles, it will likely fail catastrophically. Luckily, Nissan does this for you.
