Default Replacement car

My 2002 WRX was stolen two weeks ago. Now I drive a Z.
Still getting used to it.

I do not have a garage and have to park on the street. My old WRX was taken at night. If you have a suggestion how to best protect the Z from being stolen (LoJack, GPS tracker, or any other security system) please tell me.

Thanks!
Lev.

Unless they have an inside connection to get your codes, your car will not operate in gear without the key fob or similar device that has the correct coding. If they come with a rollback, they will more than likely smash up the car trying to take it. Either way, if they steal it, you won't want it back...............lol. You'd be better off installing wheel locks and parking strategically.

LoJack has to be one of the best deals to secure your ride. I think they even have some realtime connection that allows you to view your car's position on a map or something similar.

I agree, and keep it stock if its out in the street. Mods attract the wrong kind of attention at nite.

Default Thanks for your replies!

I will look into LoJack. It is nice to know that the key fob offers some deterrent.
My 02 WRX was modded to the hilt. That is probably why it got picked for theft...

It doesn't matter. If someone wants your car they will take it. It just a matter of making your car a "hard target". Keep it inside, don't advertise it with product stickers of all your mods. Park next to Porsches and corvette if outside.

I'm assuming if he doesn't have a garage and needs to park on the street then corvettes and porsches are pretty slim pickins. I def agree with lojack though.

I don't want my car back if it gets stolen man. Just keep it locked, in the light, and low profile.

Thanks for your suggestions and ideas! Thanks dad for the link! Lots of choices.
I will get the LowJack or a GPS tracker, maybe both.
I'll keep it low profile and try to park in well-lit / busy areas.
