Monterey Blue in Portland, OR
We just picked up our new baby on Monday night from Rustom Nissan in Portland. We shopped around all the different shops and Rustom was the only one that treated us like actual fellow human beings. The other shops weren't horrible, but lived up to the stereotype. Others simply never responded to our quote requests. It all ended up extremely in our favor. We bought a Monterey Blue, Touring, 6-speed, IKP, and carpets with sports package for $4k under MSRP. That was about $300 under invoice. I don't have a ton of pics yet. Been too busy driving! I think we're planning on some sort of paint protection on the front, mirrors and rear quarter panels. I don't have the splash guards and think I might be well advised to pick those up too. Anyone know of a good shop in the Portland area? More pics here: My Z - a set on Flickr Last edited by chibbell; 04-01-2009 at 04:44 PM. |

Yay for another Portland Z! I shopped around a little for Clearbra installers. I found two promising leads. Perfection Auto Detail and Apex Restoration. Both seem to have installers that have lots of experience, and both do custom cuts. Let me know what you find. Maybe we can orchestrate a deal if we both have our Zs covered. Happy motoring!!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Also thanks Trema for the Clearbra installers. I'll check into them soon. I really hate the lines that clearbras make and would definitely want mine molded to fit the body lines. I think that would mean my entire hood wrapped in it. Sounds spendy. Oi.
Looking forward to getting her through the break-in period for some summer cruising. There are a lot of Z's on lots in the area. We'll have more Portlanders soon, I'm sure. |

Got my Z tinted over the weekend at Highline Customs. 35% and it looks great. I was considering clearbra through them, the price wasn't bad, but I just can't get over the lines it puts on the vehicle. I'll just have to keep the washing and waxing up.
I highly recommend Window Tinting / Paint Protection in Beaverton / Portland OR if you get tint or clearbra work done. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. You can use me as a referral (Michael Sigler) if you want a discount. Banning - did you get your Z? Spotted another blue beast last week in the Beavertron area. |
