Default New Owner (Almost)

Made a great deal with Joe from Koeppel because of research on this site. Agreed on price for an '11 touring/sport/nav/6spd and should make plans for delivery in a couple weeks or so as car is still at port. Got it in gun metallic with all the goodies except the illum kick plates. Still debating whether to sell my '03 Mach-1 in the spring and use money for upgrades if I decide to go that route. Or just FTW and keep them both! Only bad part is...I live in western NY and can't foresee driving Z any time soon even after delivery. I'll just beat up on the truck a while.

This forum is great and was able to make a decision on specific car from HOURS of researching posts. And of course, working with Joe was as easy as typing this....

Welcome and congrats. I admire your patience -- it's going to be a long couple of weeks

Trust me...if the weather wasn't so bad up here I'd pick it up at the port myself!

congrats, sounds like a sick car, what color interior?

if i was you i'd keep the truck, having a beater will allow you to keep the Z exactly how you want it. mine is my DD and i would'nt mind having a beater sometimes.

Black interior. And definitely keeping the truck. Just coming from Nebraska, I always needed a winter beater.

good call, overall car sounds sick. you can get illuminated kick plates from a bunch of places (even with different color Z lights) for like 100 bucks i think (don't quote me on that) if you decide you want them

so are you in the 5 boroughs, LI or in the hudson valley?

Just moved to the buffalo area currently in a hotel in west Seneca while house hunting. Looking at living in grand island or orchard park.

The smart thing would b to have it delivered cuz by the time it's ready we'll b in a temporary rental home. But I really, really, really would like to make the trip in the Z. But not in this weather and esp not on stock tires.

ah, that could get dicey. maybe you could buy a set of stock 18's and get some winter tires and bring them down and throw them on the car and transport the sport wheels back.

Yeah. But then I'd haft drive truck down to transport wheels. If I did that I should prolly just haul her bak wit truck like I did stang from Nebraska to here. Don't REALLY want to drive z in this weather. I want to, but not smart if there r other options.
