Escort Passport 8500

My girlfriend is springing for the Escort 8500. Red or blue display anyone with any history or preference

I have a red 8500. Love it. It's works great especially because it can show you up to 8 signals at once. I've had my detect 5 at once, kinda cool. I choose red because the rest of my lights are red and red is great to use at night.

I have the blue one only because my last car had some blue in the interior. It works great but I would probably get a Valentine V1 if I had it to do over again.

I have the blue in my srt charger and the red in the 370z.you need to buy the hidden wire mount from safe and sound 1 on ebay to wire into the power mirror. Both of my cars are powered this way and everything is hidden,no wiring to be in view.Really cleans up everything and i have had no problems with it.they offer one with inline fuse and without,i opted for the inline

I just ordered one but there's a better method in hiding the wires (using the power from the auto dimming mirror) but the name of it escapes me. I wanted to order the mount but I'm still unsure of which mount size to order because I'm not sure about the width of the stem.

Blendmount with an invisicord...(I think that's what you're looking for)

Do you know what which size for the mount?

Can't remember specific model, but if you go to Amazon or the Blendmount site you just enter year, make and model of your car and it will know which mount you need.....If you buy it through Amazon the folks at Blendmount will send you an email to confirm details...they're great to work with I've bought two from them.
