New to the370z and bought new Z

. Hi! I bought a new 2009 370Z Touring last week and having a blast with it.
. Two things I really miss from the Pontiac Gran Prix GTP I traded in: the HUD and the supercharger. I don't plan on adding a supercharger, but would really like to have a HUD. So far, all I have found are GPS-based speedos and multiple-thousands-of-dollars systems. Does anyone make a decent, under $300-400 HUD that will plug into the OBD and throw user-selected data on the windshield?

Welcome, pics of the Z would be appreciated.

If you're looking for a good HUD, a friend runs this particular one in his Evo X

congratulations and welcome. I don't have a HUD in my Z but I did see this on eBay:

HUD OBD speed rpm water temp volt Heads Up Display: eBay Motors (item 200532665829 end time Nov-16-10 12:50:27 PST)

Thanks!

. Thanks for the link. That is very close to what I am looking for, but it appears that the unit shown is metric only. :(

Edit: That was for ZCarMan. Getting used to how this place works.

. Excellent looking unit, but I keep running into statements like:
"The production of Defi-Link VSD X has been ended in April, 2010"
"The following item has been deactivated"
"DISCONTINUED"

:(

PS: It's a Solid Red Touring with splashguards. I'll try to get some pics posted in the next few days.

Looks like they sell an English version on their web site:
HUD, Rpm, Volt, Water Temp OBD Plug | Custom car parts, performance auto parts and truck accessories

. Thanks! That is almost exactly what I am looking for. I'm beginning to get the feeling that The Perfect HUD doesn't exist (for a reasonable price), but that unit comes close. Especially at that price point. :(

. I have run across a guy (control systems engineer) who thinks using an Arduino to fashion a HUD would be an interesting project. He has been working on a similar project and says he just needs to add a chip or two to talk to the OBD/CAN bus.

. Who needs web search when I've got you guys? :) I really appreciate the help from all who have responded. My searching was getting frustrating.
