First time owner - long time admirer
I’ve had my Z since Feb 16th. I saw it driving by the dealer two times a day for a week and like a moth to light, I couldn’t stand it any longer. I went in to test drive in and drove out with it. I traded an ’09 Acura TSX that I didn’t have for a full year.
The dealer installed the snazzy wheels and calipers. I just couldn't say no. The wife was not very happy and I've since had to buy her an Infiniti EX35 to cool her jets. For those of you who have heard it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission, it holds true in your personal life as well! All I can say about the car is it's a freaking rocket. Awsome! Three pics. 1. Glory Shot 2. Wheels & Calipers 3. Z seen in reflection off the wife's car I came across this site and thought it would be worthwhile to join in. -ZcarGo- |

I'm not a fan of the wheels, but the car looks sweet!! I think the wheels would look better to me if the lips were smaller up front, but I like the color matched inserts. That yellow will turn some heads for sure!

To each is own..The dealer configured the car this way and tried to extract about $10K extra for the work. I told the manager to replace the wheels with the standard set because I'd be perfectly happy with standard and these really didn't add much value to the equation.
In the end there was no additional upcharge for the wheels. I could probably sell them if I get tired of them. Althought, they've kind of grown on me. My Z is one of a kind. -ZCarGo- |

In all seriousness though, congrats on your new ride. I agree with SoCal -- if you dig 'em, then rock on, that's all that matters.

Hope you got the stock wheels with the car - you were more than entitled to get them with it....
I made that mistake on one of my old cars, years ago. Bought it new w/ better wheels from the dealership, and didn't get my stock wheels when I should have. |
