Got one last night
Hi Everyone....
So I had a weird day yesterday. I owned a Honda Civic Hybrid. It had 106K miles, and I knew that the HYBRID battery ($3000) will need to be replaced soon. So i decided to go to a Toyota dealer and pick me up a new Prius. Went to Toyota, drove Prius and realized that I look like a total looser driving it..... So to make a long story short..... drove to a Nissan Dealer, (without wife) and picked up a 2010 Black 370Z with Sports Package and MT. Wife was not happy, but in California there is no "cooling off" period, hence I am now "stuck" with a Z350 for next 5 years.  I think I am gonna enjoy this...... |

Good story. Prius Hybrid to 370Z - that's a leap I haven't seen before. You're going to love this car (since you came from Civic Hybrid) Congrats.

NICE!!!!! Sounds somewhat like my situation..... back in feb 2009...drove to nissan dealership for oil change in the 350z( 09 Z first appeared there) and my husband drove me. While waiting..I noticed a black Z34 sitting there...all by his lonesome. Just for fun..I asked them to price me on monthly payment. The husband must've walked away from me like 3-5 times out of anger. When he came back..I showed him my new key fob. HAHAH.... I thought for sure the divorce papers were on its way..til he got to drive it home haha. He was very upset becuz I originally wanted white..but black being the first Z on their lot..I had to claim it! No complaints from him til I complain about the daymn scratched all over the paint

First day feedback
So yesterday, was the first day driving the 370 (after driving Civic Hybrid for 4 years).....
What a rush.... Even though I had to keep it under 4000 RPM for break in, I got to play a little with the car.... (went to 4500 RPM) couple of times..... The acceleration was FREAKING AMAZING..... I drove on PCH, where the speed limit is 60, in places where driving before in the Civic Hybrid felt fast.... Boy was I in for a surprise... At 60 I felt like I was barely moving.... there was so much left.... The manual was also something I need to get used to again. I drove manual years ago in a Camaro Z28, but had auto trannys for my last 2 cars.... The Nissan Clutch pedal is a bit heavy.... The MPG was also a bit scare (after getting about 40 in the hybrid) ... getting 13MPG... (only 80 miles on the car). Probably due to break in, and very short distances driven thus far. Car came without floor mats, so I ordered Nismo mats for $80 from the link in the forumz... now driving with stupid paper mats..... Today taking the Z for a freeway ride... it will be hard keeping it under 4000 RPM...... |
