Just RELAX I had to teach myself stick with asking people like when I grinded why I was! But take it easy relax, always on hills if someones coming behind you roll back just a bit so they are knowingly aware that you're driving a manual

Congrats and welcome. You'll get used to the clutch in no time. The 1 to 2 shift is the toughest to get used to, but shift slow if you are going slow and it'll feel much smoother.

Beautiful Z! She looks so good in white!
As for learning manual, best of luck to you. I've been driving them since I learned to drive, and I'm a 3-pedal addict. You may end up replacing a clutch, but in the long term, I think it's worth it. Just be patient. Most importantly, congrats on the new car and welcome to Z ownership!!! |

Congratulation and welcome! Just practice, practice, practice getting used to starting in first and getting the shift right into second. Big parking lots are your friend! Also, come on out and get together with the Mid-Atlantic 370Z group meet that takes place each Saturday in Fairfax, VA at the Fair Lakes Starbucks at 10:00AM!
NOVA: Zs & Coffee - Starbucks every Saturday @ 10AM

i hate it when people try to stick too close.. driving in Los Angeles traffic everyday, you get used to it.. but, when i'm stuck on a hill, i do what he just said and they'll keep their distance..

Welcome..and good choice on getting a Manual...Its the best way IMO to get the full feel of driving a sports car...
Best of luck to you in learning...but look at this way, you're learning is style....All the advice given thus far is good advice...The more time you have the better you'll get...
