Well first of all my name is sebastian and i just recently got a 2009 PW 370z
and well im pumped that i have it but its my first manual car well my first car for that matter. the point is that i can start from a dead stop but when i shift into second its like i hear a noise as if i was grinding something. I AM pushing the clutch all the way in before i shift im just worried i might be hurting the transmission or something.... PLEASE HELP |

For what it's worth, this is a clunky transmission. It's not uncommon to hear/feel the clunk on a perfectly good 1-2 shift.

Ah ok, because riding it means that you have the clutch half way engaged (slipping) for too long...
I guess it will just take some practice. Just to be sure, did your dad drive your car without any noises? I mean it might be a bit clunky (although mine shifts smooth, but I'm used to my 350 transmission), but you shouldn't be grinding the gears...

You'll get it with practice. Just leave VDC on.
