I believe that many manual transmissions, as long as the engine is under load, if you press down the clutch while still on the gas or while the engine has a decent amount of load on it, will make a noise. I know the 240sx and 350z's sometimes do this.

How do you sit in the car and either roll the windows down or turn on the radio WITHOUT turning on the engine???

Either way, no clanking.
Well, the intermittent clacking noise is a normal thing for the 370z's.. the certified mechanic at the dealership advised so i'm going with his word..

So if any of you hear that noise, it's normal.. it's just annoying but it only occurs sometimes..

just bump up the audio so you won't hear it..

lol, well when u press the start button, dnt engage the clutch or if its a auto the brake, usually pressing it twice without engaging anything will get you to be able to roll down the windows
