amazing thing is after about 2 hours driving. i averaged 33.2mpg over 120ish miles with an ave speed of 59.8 had some 70 cruising and mostly 65mph. along with some 55mph zones. and about 3-4 cities i had to stp in because of traffic lights. but to me thats phenominal. though i know pure city driving is going to drop off. but i was on purpose trying dead on the speed limits and doing my best not to adjust speed to see exactly how good this cars mpg could get under perfect circumstances. one question. i know with alot of the GM engines esp in my 2001 trans am. my mpg and such actually increassed after about 2000 miles of driving. do the 3.7's have a break in period like that also where they loosen up a bit and run a little better? |

Welcome to the Z club and nice color choice might I add! I didn't notice any increased gas mileage after my break in period. However, this is probably because during my break in period, I drove like a granny, then after I was quick to test the car's power.

on a weird turn of a events. one of my chil hood friends found out i traded in my 2001 trans am and drove 4 hours to go buy it at the dealership LOL. so the car i thought id never see again will be back. he ddnt realize i wanted to sale it heh. so now i get to have a showdown with my own TA in the near future haha. though im not quite a match for my old car atm but it will be fun.
