Waited long enough!

Relatively new member, now, a new Z owner!!!
Finally purchased a 2009 PG auto/sport 370Z. :happydance: Picked it up slightly used with 7k on it, and received a really good deal on it. Came with splash guards, carpeted floor mats/trunk, kick plates, clear bra, and remote start. To make a long story short, picked it up in Chicago, and drove back to Milwaukee in the iciest conditions we have had this winter (it was a whiteout as well). Got stuck in the city trying to go up a small incline in the middle of the road. Was able to get over and have my roommate tow me out with my tow hook. Made it in one piece thankfully.:icon17: So, greatest/worst new car experience. Potenzas are truly made out of hockey pucks. Out to buy a winter setup sooner than later. |
great man glad you actually got one can i ask why not the manual, or was it an availability thing? Sucks you have to inflict all the salt damage to her.
|
Got the auto due to what was there and ease as a daily driver.
As for the salt damage, she will be fine as long as I take care of her. I got it to drive it, not to be a garage queen. |
eh i said it's sad, not that you can't do it. it is hell on cars (as bad as they salt up here) and i hope you have a powerwasher with an undercarriage attachment and like weekly washes in freezing cold weather. I bought mine to drive it to but i plan to have it for a while and want to try to keep it from developing cancer in every corner of the body. I use winter as a time to save money and buy parts.

Yea, I understand where you are coming from. Salt is hell here.
I plan on having mine for a while as well. Maybe in a year or two, I'll get a winter car. |
Congrats, happy to hear you got her home safe. TLC should be her shiny and in great condition!
