New Storm White 370Z GT owner (UK)
Hi there,
My name is Paul and I've had my new Storm White 370Z GT for nearly 2 weeks, but due to the ice and snow I've not been able to really test it. My previous car was a Azure Blue 350Z GT (MY04) which I still have but should be going to a new home in the next few days. First impressions are good, but really disappointed there isn't a digital speedo on the car. The 370Z feels more precise and the road holding is better than the 350Z, and the power increase is obvious. The MPG seems much worse in the 370Z but I guess it may improve when a few more miles get put on. The boot seems much smaller in the 370 and I quite miss the ashtray for putting coins in. As for looks, originally I wasn't sure about the 370 but now prefer it, although I still really like the 350. I don't know if it is because I've driven them for a long time - or age (I also had a 300ZX Twin Turbo @ 400bhp) but each car has felt slightly less exciting to drive, but each looking better and handling better. Paul. Last edited by toon_herit; 02-22-2010 at 06:30 PM. |

Hello Sir!
It's nice to have another 370Z on the road in the UK. Maybe I'll see you at a meet or 2 this year I think you'll find the boot is very close to the same size. I'll dig out a photo of the 2 mats on top of each other. The thing that restricts the size a bit is the roller for the cover - it sits within the boot area rather than over the top of the silver bar. As you say, the power increase from an '04 350Z is very noticeable

Grats on the purchase and good color choice!
Your MPG will increase pretty soon. I was noticing good improvement within a few tanks of gas. I got 19.9 MPG on my last tank with a mix of highway and city driving. That's pretty average, and equates to 8.46 KPL.

Okay guys, update after 3 weeks of ownership.
Sold the 350Z GT last Saturday, having had the last drive up to Edinburgh to hand it over to the new owner. Seemed like a nice guy and was really pleased with it. Must say that I still think that the 350Z feels more sporty than the 370Z even though the new one is much better in every way. MPG is still not great in the 370Z, was getting 30+ in the 350Z on a drive and although not done a decent drive in the 370Z the local journeys seem to give about 20 MPG. Having seen the 350Z and 370Z next to each other the 370Z is much nicer to look at - just an evolution I guess. I missed the digital speedo so much that I bought a VI Monitor but this seemed to mess with the OBD and had warning lights come on so switched to a Scanguage II and all seems good. I also miss the ashtray as I used to keep coins in there and nothing seems to have replaced it in the 370Z, apart from the cup holder. I'm increasingly finding the trip computer screen annoying because there's nothing worth seeing on it during normal driving. Why couldn't they just add a speedo option!!! Steering and clutch are much lighter in the 370Z and I think it's the steering that makes it less sporty because you don't feel connected to the road like the 350Z did. I also wish I'd got a 370Z with the Sat Nav but unfortunately the salesman at the local Nissan garage obviously didn't know much about it because all the questions I asked suggested that the Sat Nav was just Sat Nav and wasn't linked to the phone or MP3 player - all of which I now know wasn't true - and more. Next 370Z will have Sat Nav and non-manual transmission. I've also just received the 370Z graphics for the side of the car and just deciding on whether to actually put them on. I think it will look pretty cool on a Storm White 370Z rather than the yellow ones. Also need to sort the exhaust out as it needs turning up a notch (had Japspeed K1 on 350Z) but not quite as loud as the 350Z but much more than the current understated noise - I've also got a Triumph TR7V8 with sports exhaust so I've got the loud car in the garage for Summer! Cheers, Paul. |

The Z32 was awesome, Twin Turbo & 400 BHP! The Z33 was fantastic - so much better and my dream car. The Z34 is my current drive and still shaking off the Z33 but I love it and can't wait to put a sports exhaust on and let her rip! |
