Picking up new Z tomarrow

:icon17:Hey Guys, I found your site while doing some research on Nissan 370s. I had located one on ebay motors about 2 months ago and sent out an email about it. After visiting a local dealer checking out the prices, leases, etc. and only 15K saved up my better judgement said wait another year. But I was getting ready to turn 50 and as fate would have it I wrecked my old beloved 94 regal on New Years Eve. The only other new car of interest was a Pontiac G8 GXP, but they only made 1,829 of them and every dealer wanted over 40K for one.
So while vacationing in Airizona I found the Z again listed on Ebay motors at 1000 less than before.
This car was at a Lamborghini Dealer in Chicago where it was traded in with less than 400 miles on it for a Lotus. The sticker was 34K and I bought it for 29,000. Blue 6speed sport pkg. with splash guards 360miles. I arranged to have it brought down towards louisville in a coverd trailer for 300 dollars. The driver is going to meet me somewhere between Indianapolis and Louisville and I will drive it home. I am real excited---Stay Tuned

Congrats, the G8 GXP will become a collectors car very quickly, but the Z is just so much fun. :)

Smooth Delivery

Everything went smooth on delivery today, the driver left Chicago at 8:00am and made it down to exit 68 Columbus Ind. just south of Indianapolis. My buddy Derick drove me up to get her and I was elated so much I was having a hard time concentrating. I am going to try and post a picture.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. The G8 GXP will be a collector's car because like the dodo it went extinct personally I don't like it.

Yea they had a matallic black base model for 29K and I thought its close by and ready to go, then looked around other local dealership inventories and couldn't find what I was looking for Yellow or Blue. Took a test drive at Neil Huffman and the sales manager said they get in their alotment in the spring and early summer then sell off what they have left over in the fall. He tryed to convince me that Silver, Black, & Charcoal will always have the highest resale, I didn't agree. Sorry you didn't get a good deal, I felt like I did at 29K, 5K off sticker. Now I have to find a dealer for warranty service. Although my Z was bought in Chicago, it originated in Ma. Lets hook up some time I like to see your Z.

You hit it on the head. The sales manager was the biggest liar I've ever run into. In the end, I'm the one that signed the bottom line, but I hate being lied to as blatantly as he did. Long story.
Advice, if you plan on using this as a DD, get some snow tires. The stock tires WILL NOT go on the snow. I had to get a rental when we had the snow a couple of weeks ago.
