...I've just parked a 2010, Platinum Graphite Touring/Sport/Navi 7AT on my driveway...
Decided against the BMW Z4 in the end. It's just too....*something*. Just didn't connect. Thanks for allowing me to frequent the forum and thanks in advance for putting up with all my forthcoming shite.

Shakey-arse, crappy iPhone pic in a parking lot, somewhere in Santa Monica. Weirdly enough, the one thing I originally didn't like about the car - The dashboard - I've decided that I now like. I originally called it 'tacky' and 'like a boombox', but now I think I understand why it is the way it is. I like all the orange and white. I like making the navigation screen inverted white on black. I like the fuel gauge - It balances out the clock on the other side. I even like the font they use for 'D' in drive mode. It's all very futuristic. I don't like the fact that one of the cupholders has been swiped in the Touring model for iPod space. Grrrr... I'm slowly getting used to the blind spots. I feel like the driver's side is pretty well figured out by angling that mirror out all the way, but the passenger's side still leaves me a little startled. Still figuring it out. Any tips? Thanks, Fellas!

^Try positioning the passenger seat so the headrest is behind the passenger window but in front of the rear quarter window, hiding the B pillar. Makes that rear quarter useful.
Also, my neck can swivel farther now than it could before I got my Z, it takes a good turn to see out the rear window Z looks great, congrats!

I've found that after properly aligning my mirrors, the only visibility issues I have are when backing out of a parking spot. The little porthole leaves a lot be to be desired.
When adjusting my mirrors, I had my wife walk around the car making sure I could follow her from mirror to mirror to mirror. |

Push the side mirrors out so they are either BARELY within view of the extreme edges of your rear quarters, if at all. That helps, exponentially. Im not a fan of those little blind spot mirrors myself...

Yeah, the portholes are pretty much useless, but I'll try your suggestion, schrute! Thanks, all!
