Such a smile on my face!

Hello, my name is Alex, from the East Texas area, and I recently purchased a black exterior/black interior Touring Z. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, but my camera is flaky at the best of times, and the quality is too grainy to really do my new baby justice. Because I'm a noob, and absolutely fail at driving standard, I opted for the auto transmission.

I upgraded from a V6 Mustang, and when I first test drove this thing, I thought maybe I had died and gone to heaven. The smile on my freaking face was so huge, my face was sore for days afterward. I wanted to kiss my salesperson when I signed the paperwork, I was so happy. Hopefully, a buddy of mine will loan me his camera so I can show it off properly (but to be honest, the dealership did a bad job on the detail, and swirl marks abound! Plus, I'm sure you've seen it before somewhere, so you won't hate me too much for not having pics.)

Also, if I'm not being too bold, I would be most appreciative if someone in the East Texas area might give me some pointers on how to really drive this machine. I'll be the first to admit that I've never driven something this obscenely powerful before, and I'm honestly afraid to go more than about 55-60 MPH.

tl;dr: Just got a new toy, and am happy to join you fellows!

Congrats, as far as driving: Press the start button, put it in drive, press gas pedal to the floor and brake when needed. If you're not on the brake be on the gas, never coast and the Z loves corners. That should keep the adrenaline flowing just don't out drive the tires 'til you learn how to drift. ENJOY!:happydance:

Don't apologize for getting the 7AT. It's a great transmisison that rivals (and sometimes beats) the 6MT in 0-60s and 1/4 miles! Can't go wrong with either transmission!

Welcome!

Ok, I finally got off my lazy butt and took the pictures from my day at the dealer and put them on my comp. Here are my favorites. The scary person eying the car is my father. He was able to get me a great deal on the car, hence why I enlisted his help. You can see the "thing" I traded up from in the background of the second one. Hope you enjoy!!

Congratulations and welcome! Good color in my opinion. Have fun learning what your new Z can do. Lots of good people and information to be had here.
