I wanna see people posting the date of purchase along with the price. Otherwise at this point the thread is meaningless. LOL, looking for help with my hagling in 2-3 weeks from now.

The closer to December we get, the better chance for a better deal on an 09 Z. If you have a specific Z you're looking for, I can use my car finder app in my USAA account to quote a good price (typically 200$ above invoice.) From that point I'd assume you'd just need to walk in and say "a friend of mine was offered X price through a USAA approved dealership, can you match or beat it?" If the dealer is smart then he should bite.

You know, one thing I kept telling myself (and the dealer) is that the most important thing is YOU gotta feel you're getting a deal. If you feel happy with paying sticker, then pay sticker. If you will feel terrible if you can't get it for invoice, then try bringing them down to invoice or try another dealer. I have friends that say I should have tried to get another 100 bucks off. I felt happy with the deal I got, and that's all the matters to me.

Yep. I added the date, but instead of a separate post I should have just edited my original post with the date. But he's right, actual sell date matters much more than post date.
Prices now for 2009's are great. With Cash for Clunkers program being over and the end of the year nearing, dealers need to sell these cars. |

True statement! Bought mine in October and had to haggle a bit shop at different dealers but you see what I paid. If they have the car on the lot they will try to push it out, especially if you are in an area that it snows because winter is coming and the 2010 are supposed to hit in mid december i think. If they have to bring the car in don't even bother because they can't give you a better price than the dealer that has it so call them! A little driving can save you, in my case it saved me $2000!
