I had a GREAT deal from Fusz Nissan (check him out, seriously) and had to back out once my dealership offered me a decent deal (unavoidable transportation costs ate a little into the deal Fusz gave me).

We had some issues getting me into the base + sport, as well as my financial situation taking a turn to the better. A couple days later I asked about their Nismo they had on the lot, and they offered me 200 less than sticker (40,200). I laughed and said I'd call them back in a few days. They called me back in 5 minutes with 38,125 and I got them down a few more hundred.

Surprisingly, they dropped more off of MSRP on the Nismo than they would the base + sport.

GJ on the haggling. :tiphat: I got mine for 37.8 with the same addons you got. Had a USAA(military family) deal though. No reason they can't do the same thing for anyone, I just didn't have to haggle for it. Seeing people pay 41K for their Nismos irks me. Enjoy your ride. :pics:

I wanna see people posting the date of purchase along with the price. Otherwise at this point the thread is meaningless. LOL, looking for help with my hagling in 2-3 weeks from now.

The closer to December we get, the better chance for a better deal on an 09 Z. If you have a specific Z you're looking for, I can use my car finder app in my USAA account to quote a good price (typically 200$ above invoice.) From that point I'd assume you'd just need to walk in and say "a friend of mine was offered X price through a USAA approved dealership, can you match or beat it?" If the dealer is smart then he should bite.

($29,340 + ~$800[warranty]) * 1.0625[tax] = ~$32k

You know, one thing I kept telling myself (and the dealer) is that the most important thing is YOU gotta feel you're getting a deal. If you feel happy with paying sticker, then pay sticker. If you will feel terrible if you can't get it for invoice, then try bringing them down to invoice or try another dealer. I have friends that say I should have tried to get another 100 bucks off. I felt happy with the deal I got, and that's all the matters to me.

Yup, I also use USAA. I have quotes of $35343 for Touring 6MT/Sport with Floor Mats, Trunk Mat, Illuminated Kick Plates. That is $200 below Invoice. I'm hoping to buy a Chicane Yellow for well under $36k. I've read other on this board that claim to have bought between $500-$1000 under Invoice.

Yep. I added the date, but instead of a separate post I should have just edited my original post with the date. But he's right, actual sell date matters much more than post date.

Prices now for 2009's are great. With Cash for Clunkers program being over and the end of the year nearing, dealers need to sell these cars.

True statement! Bought mine in October and had to haggle a bit shop at different dealers but you see what I paid. If they have the car on the lot they will try to push it out, especially if you are in an area that it snows because winter is coming and the 2010 are supposed to hit in mid december i think. If they have to bring the car in don't even bother because they can't give you a better price than the dealer that has it so call them! A little driving can save you, in my case it saved me $2000!
