Just picked up a Pearl Blue 2016 Coupe Sport with 6m. Been a couple of year lurker on the forum just checking things out, couldn't resist any longer and decided to pull the trigger with 0% financing in May.

I started searching 2 years ago to replace my 2002 NB2 Miata, I had this car 14 years and replaced one failed item, the thermostat. Still had the original belts and hoses, maintenance items were replaced regularly.

I test drove a new 2015 Mustang, wow what a big heavy slug of car. Waited on the 2016 Camaro, better than the Mustang in terms of handling, but a real heavy weight as well. The new Mustang gained weight over the last gen and the Camaro lost weight. They both still need to lose 500lbs. I was hoping that one or the other or both would morph from muscle to sports cars. Maybe next generation. I didn't really expect to like the Mustang or Camaro, but after 14 years in the same car I was going to drive one and see... I drove a BRZ, nice car but meh. Nothing really bad to say that already hasn't been said, nothing really stood out either. I think my NB handled better, a great starter sports car. I did drive a 370z Sport Tech with 6m before the Mustang, Camaro and BRZ, maybe I shouldn't have.

I waited on the new ND Miata, then waited until they announced the RF hardtop. I went to test drive one thinking I would purchase a soft top, the RF isn't appealing to me. Wow, this was the most disappointing of the 3. Apparently being 6"0" and 185lbs is giant by Japanese standards, I just don't fit anymore. There is 1" more of leg room to the pedals but all other measurements I took were smaller. The one in particular that had me walking out the door was that my forehead was 13" from the top windshield support frame, in my NB it's 17". Talk about freaking me out, it's just way too close. It was in my face the whole test drive, not sure if I would have ever got used to it...

I'm thinking of naming her Blue Bird. For those of you in Tech Sales, you know what this means! The last day of FY16, March 31st 2016 with 8 hours left... time to spare.

Let the mods begin! Anyone know were I can get some get some kind of reinforcement bars for the doors, I'd love to make them as strong as the Miata's.
