is anyone having problems getting the hatch to open some of the time???

Yes, there are. In the 370, it's hard to get the hatch door to open; in the 350s, it's a strut(s) problem; they fail to keep the door up. Nissan bugs! Get the insecticide!

Yes, I have had the hatch latch problem. Was at the dealer trying to get the issue resolved just yesterday. When I first got there and took my backpack out, it partially unlatched and the service person witnessed that it happened. Then when they were finished the mechanic said he could not get it to happen again. Then I tried in front of him several times and guess what? I could not get it to partially unlatch again. He said it had something to do with the security system taking 45 seconds to totally disarm it's self. Maybe he was just messing with me and did something to fix it.

The mechanic in the stealership is a hot-air balloon full of intestinal gas! He WAS trying to mess with your mind and con you into believing his silly story! Have them correct that issue ASAP, dude! Good luck.
