Finally got my Z!!
So after lusting after one of these cars for a few years now, I finally pulled the trigger and got a Z! I found this one on cars.com and it was located in North Carolina. It was delivered to me for free which was pretty cool.
It is a 2009 Sport package touring model I was a little worried about buying the car without seeing it in person, but I took the gamble and it paid off! I am really loving it. There is a TON done to it.. Some of the modifications I am still unsure about. Things I know it has: Stillen Intake Stillen Exhaust Coilovers (Not sure what brand) Some type of aftermarket sway bar Aftermarket headlights with halo rings SSR Wheels Carbon Fiber Hood Black wrapped hood Calipers are painted red with the Akebono stickers on it More things I am probably forgetting.. I have a buddy who works at a Toyota dealership and he took it up on the lift and did an inspection. He said everything looked well and he didn't notice anything wrong with it. It was funny, it was just us checking out the car, and before I knew it there was 6/7 mechanics underneath the car checking it out. Last Question. I have been noticing my brakes have been chirping a little bit when stopping. Is this normal? I am pretty sure the brakes don't need to be replaced, I just really hate the sound of the chirping. Here are some pictures: The car is really dirty in these so don't mind that! Last edited by Munts; 09-07-2015 at 09:14 AM. |

Congrats!
Chirping is pretty normal. Use some brake cleaner and do some real hard stops. Basically do a bedding in procedure. It should get rid of the glaze that is causing your squeaks. |
